Lovely hotel, great rooms, restaurant above average, service FANTASTIC. The four seasons service really makes all the difference to a 5 star country hotel stay. A cut above the rest.

Keep it up!

I love the Four Seasons Brand and was excited to visit with a group of friends for a relaxing weekend. Lets just say that everything that could have gone wrong did! Most things could and should have been resolved at the time, however, despite bringing them to their attention nothing was done. On check out, I mentioned again I was unhappy and the right person dealt with in the correct way. We have been invited back and I am hoping for a more plesant stay.
The hotel is in a lovely spot and it is nice to be able to sit in the grounds and have a bite to eat. The afternoon tea was lovely and quite reasonably priced. As others have mentioned, there are a lot of children running around screaming at mealtimes, I'm sure the staff get irritated as much as the other guests who have left their children at home. Make sure you book dinner before you arrive as we were unable to get a reservation and had to eat in the bar area.
The spa area is lovely and has rules about conduct and children, however some parents chose to completely disregard others quiet time.
If you are travelling without your children, go midweek!

Initial impressions. Not a country house, just a pure and functional Hotel. Was very expensive. Just like a new car, you need to pay for all extras. e.g. VAT, Internet usage per connection (although we did query this and were given complimentory access), service charge for breakfast and dinner even if you go there on a package. Some elements very good - as Housekeeping and Reception staff. We think if they quote a package price, it should be that, not added extras, hence our stay cost some 25% more than anticipated, based on "extras". Would we return? Probably not!

Only 50 minutes away from London, it's the perfect place to spend the weekend in the country side.

We stayed only Saturday and Sunday, did some clay pigeon shooting, played tennis and did a lot of walks with our dog. Oh, yes. The hotel is dog friendly! They actually had the dog's bed ready in our room when we arrived.

Food was also excellent.

Strongly recommend this place.
