“Perfect beer Perfect burger Perfect friendly 'pub'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

Completely suprised by this new pub in Media City .
Just off the tram stop , with 20 odd craft beers , fantastic value drinks .
We sat outside on the piazza with a pint of bright side and a carafe of £7.95 delicious red wine, even saw Robbie Savage
Having a plate of chips, brilliant!
Our new regular slot with its Fussball table, duke box and pin ball .
Well done

“Ohhh dog friendly too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

We have used this bar a few times, gets a bit BBC busy!!!!!

Staff great, even let us bring the dog in on match day too!!

The food is good and a small menu but worth a taster.

Summer seats outside .

Tram stop right outside the door

Bright, clean and spacious

“Old fashioned pub values in a futuristic place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

Was not sure what to expect when we chose to go to the Dockyard. Being in Media City, home of innovation and creativity would a traditional pub fit? In sort yes.

This is a traditional pub in the way that it serves real ales, craft beers and good pub grub but it is far from traditional in the decor. Bare wood and metal, mixed with leather sofas and tables made from scaffold poles. The cellar is open behind glass walls so you can see where your beer is being poured from. Also to keep you entertained is a pinball machine and old fashioned juke box.

The menu is not large in choice but it does have some "different" items to choose from. When was the last time you saw Corned Beef sandwiches on a menu?

There are no starters or desserts to choose from so we had:

Beef & Ale Pie: probably the best pie we have experienced eating out. It was full with meat and very tasty. Served with mushy peas, gravy and skin on chips (or mash if you'd prefer).

Beef Stew: traditional, again meaty with a juicy gravy, curly kale and a big chunk of crusty bread on the side.

The meals are served on tin plates, similar to what you would take camping, and compliments he style of the place. Portions are not large, but perfect size for lunch and excellent value for money.

At a very reasonable £15.00 for two main courses and two drinks (diet Pepsi and 1/2 Dockyard lager) this is definitely a place we will be coming back to.
