“ok location but poor parking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Stayed here for one night, All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfy though personally feel they lack a few touches, the new beds are very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep and for what we paid was excellent value, however I still arent convinced these are kingsized beds they have just put smaller pillows on them to make them look bigger.
The massive downside to the stay was the parking which is in the Morrisons opposite which only covered us until the next morning then the car needed moving rather than our whole stay. We luckily managed to get parking at friends after they offered to move their car so we could use their drive. This definately needs looking at as other than this the hotel is fine

Modern, clean and comfortable hotel. Very short walk to the Metro station which is a brilliant transport system.
Short walk to the Lowry shopping mall and then through it to media city.
Morrison's café next door and Tesco Express two minutes down the road.
Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night in late May. The accommodation was clean, functional and fully fit for purpose. The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise that we were aware of. There was a good sized remote control TV on the wall in front of the bed. The accommodation isn't massively spacious, but this is budget accommodation and you hardly book there in the expectation of massive rooms.

There is a large Morrisons next door, open late into the evening. There are good transport links from nearby to the city centre and airport. It's a few minutes' walk to the Salford Quays area, Lowry Centre and Media City. A few more minutes' walk away is Old Trafford. Although it is billed as free Wi-fi, it's worth mentioning that it's only 30 minutes that are free.

One of us had never visited Manchester before and the other hadn't been for nearly 20 years, but we enjoyed our brief visit and this Travelodge certainly helped. We would recommend it and would stay there again.

We were transferred to this travel lodge after there was some overbooking at our original choice.
After the initial disappointment with the location (not city centre as previously booked) I have to admit that our two night stay while visiting Parklife was fantastic.
It's modern bright and roomy. The bar and restaurant served breakfast which was top class. The evening meal was basic but tasted fantastic and wasn't overpriced.
The weekend staff were so helpful and very friendly.
What could have been a disaster actually worked in our favour :)

I liked everything in this hotel for the money you pay, but for 2 people our room was very small. If you travel and have bags you will struggle, considering they don't have a wardrobe, only a rail. But apart from this room was very clean and modern, bed comfortable and staff cheerful. Also there's a big Morrisons just in front of it, small Tesco and a tram 2 mins walk.

This hotel is clean, close to the Lowry which is where we went to see Derren Brown. Its close to the tram for easy access to manchester. It is also close to old Trafford and the Imperial war museum which is worth takin a look at. The room was basic and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will use this hotel again.
