“Clean, comfortable, good value accommodation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

My wife and I stayed here in September 2013 on our way north to visit family. We stayed one night and were impressed by the good standard of cleanliness and comfort at this motel. The general decor was modern, fresh and the room smelt nice. The bathroom was spotless with big fluffy white towels and the shower easy to use. The bed was just right [not too hard or soft]. The reception staff were friendly and professional and there were fresh flowers in the reception area - a nice touch . Notwithstanding its proximity to the motorway, the accommodation was quiet and we both got a good night's sleep. The rate for one night when we stayed was just under £60 which, when compared with other, tired, tatty and old premises we have stayed in before, just cannot be beaten for value.

Room Tip: They do have rooms set aside for smokers so when you book make sure you specify 'nonsmoking'...

Visiting relatives in Cambridge Glos. stayed here for one night. Was worried about being on motorway services but need not have, as found it very quiet. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities good. Good location as probably half way between Gloucester and Bristol on the A38 and of course M5 right on your doorstep.

This hotel offers really good accommodation for a one night stop over. It's clean and comfortable. I didn't hear any motorway noise. Powerful shower and tea and coffee making facilities. Compared to a travel lodge I think it is a class above.
Reception staff were very helpful and the price is retry reasonable.

Room Tip: Be careful it seems there are still some smoking rooms in this hotel!

heading home from Cornwall we decided to stop en route as the sun was shining which meant we left a lot later than we thought, we called in at the Gordano hotel on the off chance but they where full but phoned ahead to this hotel who had a room, we were very impressed with the room, spotlessly clean and spacious with a decent size bathroom and a flat screen TV wifi was free ( big hotels tend to charge) so this was a nice facility as we were able to download our pics. surprisingly quiet but the hotel is set in woods so guess the trees buffered the noise, in the morning we went to the adjacent service area where there was a great choice inc Starbucks and a Waitrose. great value for £49 would recommend for a nights stop to break the journey.

Room Tip: have a room facing the back less noisy at it do sent face motorway and has views of the meadows and...

Unfortunately my 11 month old girl found a white tablet under the end of the bed and had it in her mouth before we realised. Luckily she spat it out. We still had to take her to hospital in Bristol on the advice on NHS direct because we couldn't confirm what the tablet was as it had partly dissolved, or if she had only found the one. This was in a family room! You would have thought extra care would be taken to clean under the beds in these rooms!?
Luckily she was okay but we didn't really get much of a nights sleep as you can imagine!
The receptionist was sympathetic but I have had no apology from anyone in a managerial position at the hotel.
I would avoid this hotel totally if you have young children for their own safety.

Stayed here with my friend we had an executive room and really didn't know what to expect as usually use a premier inn. It was great , iron, ironing board , fridge, spacious room, comfy beds , powerful shower and they let us book in earlier too. Spotlessly clean an well kept. We chose the hotel for going to a concert at Westonbirt arboretum £25 by taxi each way with Eurotaxi. We had the continental breakfast 4.50 each and delivered to room on time. There are snack/drinks available at reception but hot food is available a 2 min walk to the motorway service area where there is also a Waitrose store all reasonably priced. I would use Days Inn again.

Days Inn Tewkesbury M5 North is a budget priced hotel offering standard accommodation. Though rooms and the hotel is non-smoking our room was changed by very helpful staff as someone had very clearly smoked in it. Staff very helpful and friendly. Do not purchase the breakfast token for £7. 50 as you will find better coffee and toasted breakfast at Costa. My breakfast was cold.
If you are travelling southbound on M5 access is easy to northbound entry but be prepared to follow your nose through the motorway access gates to return from one side to the other!
