Most folk visit the cafes on the pier at Southwold, but much better - and a short walk away - is this little gem. A large white hut on the far side of the boating lake with a style best described as 'shabby chic'. The china doesn't match and nor do the cushions on the cane outside seating. A bit like home in fact! Monster cake portions and some of the best bacon sarnies ever! Swift and friendly service with a lovely view across the boating lake. So good we went three times in one week!
