“Just what a pier should be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Southwold Pier is everything a pier should be but different from any other pier we have visited. This 'modern' pier has charm and elegance. It is clean and well maintained with small quality souvenir shops and excellent catering facilities. The performing water clock is a unique feature of the pier that fascinates all ages. The 'Under the Pier' show interactives are amusing and entertaining. The pier is great for a stroll in all weathers. There are excellent views of Southwold from the end of the pier. Don't miss the hundreds of commemorative brass plaques that are located on the pier. Each plaque tells a human story. There are plenty of seats on the pier - sun tan guaranteed if the sun is shining! It is fun to watch the fishermen at the end of the pier. Southwold Pier has 'class'. Well worth a visit if you appreciate fresh air and good food.

“Lunch at the Boardwalk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Very unusual and delicious menu covering lots of local produce. Views of the sea all round, it was like being on a ship. Lovely clean and tidy surroundings and staff excellent in everyway. Nice strol on Pier after lunch making a few unusual purchases, watching the water clock and generally enjoying the ambience.

“A fantastic pier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Just brilliant! The pier has a wealth of high quality entertainment and shopping. The "Under The Pier Amusements" are unique.......quirky one off slot machines that really are fantastic....such as a slot machine where you spin a wheel to decide whether the cute little lamb will be food or pet..............or the airport frisking slot machine.......well worth a visit.

Dont forget to visit the unique water clock on the pier that kicks into action on the hour and half hour.......great fun, even if it doesn't tell the correct time!

A really great way of spending a couple of hours.

“Bit disappointed :-((”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Love Southwold but unfortunately I have to say the fish and chips at the Pier were the worst we have ever had and very expensive . Not normally one to complain but I will definitely choose the one in the town next time as they have always been fab. Just a bit gutted as we were all really looking forward to our day out with fish and chips :-(((
