“An Excellent New Years Eve at The Brome Grange - Thanks!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

My family & I attended the New Year’s Eve function at the newly opened Brome Grange Hotel, Diss.
We found the whole evening thoroughly enjoyable, with plenty of choices from the buffet and the prices were very reasonable for this time of year.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We hope to come back to the Brome Grange again either during the summer or / and this year’s New Year’s Eve bash.
Thank you once again for a great evening and I’ll be sure to recommend you to family and friends

My Partner and I have just come back from a lovely weekend at Brome Grange. We hired the self catering cottage and took our 2 small dogs with us.
I have to say the staff (James and Julie) we fantastic, the food was amazing and it was so lovely we are rebooking to stay over new year !! .
PLEASE PLEASE dont think this place is bad because of previous reviews. These new owners and staff are fantastic and I urge people to go there and stay, even if you have had previous bad times there. GIVE THE NEW GUYS A CHANCE !!! I cant wait to go back xxxx

Room Tip: If youve got dogs, hire the self catering cottage, it has a secluded garden which is ideal and safe...

Well if you want swanky, minimal, stainless steel and glass and five star service then please don't stay here. A lovely hotel, just starting out after being shut by previous owners, and trying very hard to please.
Very olde worlde rooms, we were in the honeymoon suite complete with four poster, jacuzzi bath and double shower for two. Yes bits of it, like the carpet, are tired BUT it makes up for that by being so charming, full of history and character.
The manager Jonathan Perfect!! well he lives up to his name, charming, friendly and keen and the rest of his staff are lovely too. Nothing was too much trouble.
Restaurant served really good food and the bar prices are very reasonable.
Breakfast was good too - even though they didn't have any mushrooms - it really didn't matter.
You could tell they were on a learning curve and that was tbh part of the charm of the place. It made us feel very comfortable and at home.
I do wish them well for the future - but I do hope they keep their charm and do not become too perfect because that would spoil it, well for us anyway. I may well enquire about their wedding package in the not too distant future................ well done everybody - keep up the good work x

My partner and I recently stayed at the Brome Grange Hotel and we had a brilliant experience. It was our first time staying there and certainly won't be our last. The staff were extremely attentive from the moment we arrived and were only too happy to help. Our room was warm and spacious and had an added bonus of a four poster bed!! ( room 19 if your'e wondering?!!). The food was excellent both for the evening meal and the breakfast. Plenty of choice and all beautifully cooked. There is a great bar to relax in and sample a few of the many beers on offer, both local ales and continental lagers. It was just a shame that we had to leave before the excellent looking carvery was served up on the Sunday!

from the moment we arrived for our short break brome grange staff gave us a warm welcome nothing was too much trouble ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay.
The Hotel has a warm homely feel greeted by a lovely open fire in the reception area.
The restaurant is well worth a visit i had the beef which was yummy and good value for money.
You would never know the building had been closed down the new owners have done extremely well turning it around and myself and partner cant wait to revisit.
