“Just lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2010

Great holiday here again (4th time). Always spotless, great location and lovely owners. Stayed in cottage and welcomed with bottle of wine :-) Perfect for families as everything so close by, but also massive garden that can relax, play or BBQ in. Will be back again next year!

We stayed at White House Farm with my parents for a 2 night break and I cannot reccomend it highly enough.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, roomy, comfortable and have every amenity you could wish for.
Both rooms had en suite facilities (ours had a rool top bath and separate shower cubicle). My parents room had a four poster bed - both rooms had flat screen tvs, tea and coffee making facilities and were very well furnished.
We had a beautiful guests lounge available for our use and Graham's breakfasts were five star plus!
We were made to feel very welcome and at home and we hope to return here if we get the opportunity to visit the area again.
We had dinner on the first night of our stay at The Duke at Bacton - finer fresh cooked haddock and chips could not be had! On the second night we went to the Vernon Arms at Southrepps as recommended by Graham and Catherine and had another superb dinner, although it was packed out and reservations here are essential.
We would absolutely recommend White House Farm for bed and breakfast and the self catering accommodation which they offer is also top class.

Great location, attentive host and incredible breakfasts. However, check the likely start time of work at the farm at the rear, if in a rear room.

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night break at White House Farm and stayed in the Orton Room. We had the warmest welcome from Mr & Mrs Moorhouse and couldnt have asked for more. We returned to our room to discover Mr Moorhouse had prepared our bottle of champagne in an ice bucket and had left us champagne glasses. We just had to open it after that. The breakfasts were a three course meal and beautifully cooked and prepared. We dined both nights at the Vulcan Arms and the food was amazing.
We both slept like babies and I think this is going to be our best kept relaxation secret.
Needless to say.......we will be back and soon.

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful three night summer break at White House Farm. It was a truly charming experience. Owner Graham Moorhouse welcomed us with a pot of tea in the relaxing lounge and even accomodated my wife with her favoured green tea. His knowledge of local information is incredible and he cooks the most superb traditional breakfast in a most welcoming atmosphere.

Our room had a four poster bed and overlooked the fields. The surrounding countryside is terrific as is the excellent beach at Mundesley - just minutes away.

Several welcoming pubs are a very short drive away, we particularly liked the Vernon Arms in Southrepps - five minutes down the road.

We had the most peaceful three nights sleep in a long time and cannot recommend the Farmhouse highly enough. Graham even provides a fridge and laundry for guests and fully deserves his AA 5 star status.

Stayed at White House Farm for a second time in July and have already booked for our next trip in September.

This is one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. The welcome from Graham Moorhouse is so friendly and helpful. It's a really relaxed atmosphere, with Graham creating a nice feel amongst the guests at breakfast.

Graham's breakfasts are excellent - we've tried all his options! Really well prepared, setting you up for the day.

The House is tastefully decorated, with a comfy lounge for guests to use. We've stayed in 2 of the 3 bedrooms so far. Both well equipped, furnished in a contemporary and tasteful manner, with clean and modern bathrooms, flat screen TVs with Freeview, and great beds. Mention must be made that the House has wi-fi access.

Graham has great recommendations for eating out and there is a lovely local pub down the road in Trunch - you do have to drive to this.

This is a great base to explore North Norfolk and also drive into Norwich (c40 mins away).

  • Liked — Everything!
  • Disliked — Nothing, it really is perfect.

Graham and Catherine Moorhouse were wonderful hosts. The B&B itself is gorgeous. All rooms were tastefully decorated and clean. We had TV, roll-top bath and shower, a lovely, comfy bed, and wireless internet. The breakfast, made from local produce was consistently delicious. Graham and Catherine recommended local spots to visit and even organised bookings for dinner at local pubs on our behalf. Couldn't have asked for more. They were so friendly and helpful.

  • Liked — Hospitality
  • Disliked — Farming equipment next door, starts at about 8am, quite muffled though.
