Turned up without reservation and this clean and fresh looking restaurant accommodated eight of us no problem as it was midweek and at the tail end of the summer. I'd imagine this place would be heaving in the holiday season.
Staff were courteous and the food appeared in a decent time. Portions were very generous and presented great value for money and the taste was the best I've had in years. Nothing like Fish and chips by the sea and the choice on offer was great. I had the seafood platter and even though it was all breaded and each piece looked the same, there was a definate separation of the flavours and textures. Great chips too.
The only slight letdown was the milkshakes which weren't cold and seemed to be made with powder rather than ice cream (which at £1.80 a shot I would have expected).
Aside from the drinks I was very satisfied and would go back for more if it wasn't 100+ miles away...maybe for the next biker meet! ;)
