“Gale force winds with a warm welcome!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

We attended an event this November. We had a caravan which was warm, clean and tidy. The food was good in the restaurant staff very helpful. We would return. Good for families also. We wish we had paid for a lodge they looked wonderful.

Room Tip: the lodges are dearer but, well worth paying more for. We will next time

Having stayed at Searles for many years and found it to be excellent all round, however having just returned from a weekend break, my views have been clouded slightly, having 3 small children we especially visit the site to make use of the indoor swimming pool during the winter months, which is the highlight of their holiday, unfortunately the pool has not this time met our expectations, the pool was very cold on all three days of our visit, the water looked dirty, however staff I complained to said it was cloudy?? could hardly see my feet in the shallow end.the pool was so cold that it was virtually empty, everyone I spoke to complained about the pool temperature but also said it had been like it for weeks and nothing ever gets done about it. As previously stated this facility used to be excellent but now appears to have hit rock bottom.

We stayed here for half term.We originally booked for Monday to Friday, but Searles offered a deal to stay until Sunday afternoon for the fireworks weekend for an extra £95.The fireworks were very good, the weekend included free entry and travel to Old Hunstanton. We stayed in a coastal cottage, the same one as last year as I asked for it again. It was fairly clean inside, except there was a dead gnat on the toilet floor and I found a small toy on the double bedrom floor,so maybe somebody could have hoovered a bit better. The blinds in both toilets had a bit of mildew on the,but it was nothing major. We saw four shows,a Vegas one which was really good,a Wild West one with a Halloween twist, which wasn't so good, a variety show, this was quite funny and a Top of the Pops show. This was my favourite one. They involved a great deal of costume changing. We ate twice in Smokey Jo's,some of the food was reasonably priced. The carvery is good value. My husband and son enjoyed the sharing dessert, this was £5.50 for an enormous dish of icecream, cream, flakes and mars bar slices, they had it twice. There are some nice eating places in town, which don't take very long to get to.
We didn't try the swimming pool as last year it was really cold.My son's were disappointed to discover the remote control racing car track was just tyres laid out and you are supposed to bring you own car,it should have stated this in the brochure or on the website.
We had a really good holiday and all enjoyed it.We had already decided before we went we would have a break from Searles next year as we have been three years running and we don't want it to get a bit samey.I would still go to Hunstanton but stay at another park instead.

We have been here many times in one of our familys private van and really liked the site, but this year we were back as a paying customer. What a mistake!!. The staff were friendly upon arrival and the site was still nice but then we arrived at our van.
It certainly had not been cleaned to any standards, the list of complaints took up a whole page of A4 paper. There were holes in the walls and doors, mould growing on the window in the bedroom, shower was broken, carpets were disgraceful, heating did not work, the list goes on.The maintenance man said they were snowed under with complaints and couldn't get everything fixed. We complained several times but still the problems were not fixed. This was at the beginning of season so I dread to think how bad it was at the end of the season.
We put our complaints in writing and received an e-mail apologising and saying it would be looked into. I then followed up a fortnight later and was told it could take up to 28 days. That was over 6 weeks ago and no one will respond to me now. I am that disgusted with the accommodation and service afterwards I am taking this matter further. I have no idea how they got a star rating and shall be contacting the tourist board. Please do not waste your money

We have jsut had a weekend away at Searles in Hunstanton, it was a Sun holiday deal so we weren't expecting a great deal but this was the best park we've been to. The caravan was superb, beautifully fitted out, with CH too! This was a must on a windy, wet October weekend. We didn't get to the beach at all as the weather was so bad but had plenty to do in the surrounding area. Kids entertainment was great with day time activities including treasure hunt, car racing and magic show. Evenings were well filled aswell, couldn't fault the place. If ever we do a 'Sun' break again we'll be heading here.

Stayed here in July in a tent, luckily weather was awesome.
Swimming pool heater was broken on small pool for one day and then on the indoor pool for one day. When i asked the lifeguards what the problem was each one of them gave me a different reason.
The lifeguards were pretty rubbish, they mainly just grunted or barked orders out to people whilst sitting on their butts. When they did manage to string a few words together it was only to chat up young girls. The water slide only turns on for about ten minutes each hour.
On the whole the park was prettty good.
Except for the shower facilities for camping, which were awful. Freezing cold showers!!!!!!!!
The evening entertainment was soo bad, it was funny.
Do not expect to get a seat or table in the function room unless you get there for about 1830hrs.
The park does need considerable updating but on the whole was an ok holiday.
We were a party of 3 adults and two infants, who all enjoyed there time here
