“Fun day out with the family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

We had a party of all ages (2-84years) and everyone had fun. The nature reserve was fascinating and the children loved finding the stamps for their passports . The children loved wild rootz and even nanny had fun on the zip wire! Lovely cakes ended the day nicely .

“Great day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

We visited 9th June 2014.
There staff were very friendly and helpful.
The price is right.
The wader/seashore, walk in aviary was fantastic and allows great opportunities for photographs of bearded Birds ( I have to put birds otherwise this review will not be accepted :D ), avocets, ruff, turtle dove, curlew, stilt, redshank.
The rest off the reserve is also fantastic. Check out the crane hides.
The gardens were stunning. We walked a complete circuit of the reserve and were not disappointed with the variety of wildlife that we encountered.
If we are in the area again we would certainly make time for a return visit.

So much to see, a haven for bird and nature lovers, even though it rained while we were there it was a pleasure to walk around.

“Chicks and Ducklings galore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014 via mobile

Seems June is a great time of year to visit. Lots of pairs producing lots of little ones! Very well laid outside with great access for a pushchair. Lovely gardens to wander around in and lots to see a real day out in one place. The play park is worth a visit too for Adults.... And children ;)

“Amazing place to visit, nature at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

We had a lovely day here, the weather was dry but chilly.

We spent about 3 hours walking a couple of tracks but could have spent longer there to explore fully so we will be going back for sure. We spent time pond dipping, exploring the new children's play area with tall slides, climbing nets and underground tunnels!

There are also quiet bird hides along the tracks to sit and peacefully observe nature.

The children loved spotting various birds, animals and chasing butterflies!
Reasonable prices, nice cafe area and friendly informative staff. We wanted to do the Safari tour but our little was worn out and towards the end of visit so we came home. That sounds very good though and again we will do this on our return visit.

Highly recommended!

What a super review! Thanks so much for taking the time to tell us about your visit. The Wensum Discovery Tour is great fun and weaves you through remote parts of the Estate normally inaccessible by foot so is well worth doing. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
