“Therapeutic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

We have been to Pensthorpe a few times and have always enjoyed our experience. We enjoy the chance to take a nice walk, at least a good 2 hours if you do the long trail. The most exciting bit is walking along with ducks and other fine birds as companions!! We always get seeds and as soon as they realise we have a bag of their goodies they start quaking and eating from our hands. Such a wonderful relaxing place, you hear birds chirping and have natural ecological surroundings. Staff always nice, the shops are amazing, you can purchase organic and local foods and stop for a drink and cake at the cafe if you want. The only downside is the price, we believe other less fortunate families could benefit but could not afford the entrance fees.

“Luv a duck!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Great day out even on the coldest of Easter Sundays. Can't wait to come back in the summer to see the flora of the woodland and meadows. Plenty to see in the park even in winter though as there are many species of duck, goose, swan and even cranes to look at on the water and even the smaller birds made an appearance when we sat quietly in one of the many hides. A lovely cafe with great treats. A homemade scone and cuppa is a must.

“Ducks to Water!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

This place is a must see. Plenty of wildlife, superb café and shopping! What more could one want? Having bird feeders within view of hides means that you are almost guaranteed a good sighting; and the whole place is so well laid out. Even in the rain, sleet and subsequent snow last weekend, it was still a very enjoyable day out.

The Christmas displays in the shop are fabby and I always find gifts for everyone here. I love that I can go and watch the feeding at dusk at the same time.

“interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is a wonderful place to see flora, fauna, birds etc. It is mainly for adults with not much for the children but they can run around as there is pleanty of [space to do so.
