We love coming to Redworth, and have been doing so for a few years now, it's a lovely hotel, really nice staff, the food is always good, everything you could want for breakfast, and if it isn't there, ask a member of staff and they will ask the kitchen to do it fro you.It' a quiet hotel in a good location, there is a bus stop right at the bottom of the long drive, which is handy for a visit to Darlington or Durham, only a 25 minute run to Darlington. But back to the hotel, the beds are VERY comfortable, rooms clean and well appointed. I cannot find anything negative about this lovely hotel, I would reccomend it.. See you again Redworth.

Package included a meal on the first night but restaurant fully booked and could not eat until 9.30pm. Leisure facility very busy and cleanliness needs attention.
Even with the package deal hotel felt over priced and not good value. Did not get the weekend experience I expected.

Thank you for taking time to review Redworth. I am sorry that your visit was not the most enjoyable. We were very busy during your stay, but this should only add to the atmosphere not detract from service. Do contact me directly for your next visit and we will make sure it lives up to our promise.

stopped off here to break our journey from south west to north east and the welcome was so warm. Swept up from the entrance gate to impressive Hall, the log fire in the entrance lounge was radiating but was almost surpassed by the glowing welcome from the reception staff. Our room 111 was just perfect. Comfortable arm chairs, footstools, writing desk and coffee table in one half of the room and twin beds in the other.
Fully equipped bureau with assorted coffee, teas and crockery for that all important cuppa.
Flat screen T.V ambient lighting beautiful soft furnishing completed the bedroom. In the bathroom we had a heated towel rail with an assortment of towels each. The shelves held an array of toiletries with a spa bath to ease the aches of a tiring day.
Breakfast was buffet, orchestrated by Paula who was a delight with a wealth of information. We recommend the crusty bread brown and white. We noticed also that the pastries were popular, but after the extensive choice from cooked food ( recommend sausage) we just couldn't eat anymore. We booked another night, making a 30 mile journey back from Newcastle it was so good. We chose the cooked to order breakfast of poached egg and haddock.
We have to go back to that same area next week and you bet your bottom dollar where we are staying for a couple of nights more

Room Tip: we booked ground floor for mobility user, but when we arrived we noticed a lift so anywhere would d...

I am delighted that you had a great stay and also that you travelled back 30 miles to stay with us again! I hope I have not missed you on your return leg to the south. Let me know when you book and I will make sure we go out of our way to spoil you.

Went for a weekend break, included evening meal on Friday and Saturday. Got there at 5pm but restaurant booked until 9.30pm. Ate meal in reception area as nowhere else. There are 130 rooms in the hotel and only 11 tables in the bar area. Queue for drinks, find a table.......in reception again! Up for breakfast........queue for 20mins to get in and queue 15 mins for cooked food. Saturday night even worse.......reception was full! There is another bar.....not open! Went back to room instead.
Sunday morning, more queues for breakfast....even longer wait and then had to queue to check out and pay bar bill (£4.15 a pint of Guiness )
Not a place I will go to again......unless I want to queue.

Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us at Redworth. I am sorry that your visit was not the most enjoyable and that we have not looked after you as we should. Our restaurant is becoming increasingly popular and I do whenever possible encourage guests to book in advance to get their preferred time. But this is sometimes difficult with electronic bookings.
We do have two additional lounges just off the main bar and I am sorry that my team did not make you aware of this. Please do visit us again and contact me directly for your booking, we will definately look after you.

Just had a lovely 3 day break at Redworth again. Staff were friendly and efficient and we had two meals in the restaurant which were very enjoyable. Upgraded to a lovely spa room. Looking forward to the next visit.

Stayed during the weekend of 24/25th January 2014. First of all its is a very impressive approach to the hotel which in itself is impressive. The greeting by the reception staff was friendly, welcoming, knowledgable and professsional, this set the tone for the duration of the stay, every one from the porters, bar and restaurant staff were always eager to be of help. The food at dinner was of a very high standard and it was nice to find that the menu changed on the second night. Saturday coincided with Burns Night and a nice touch was that this was reflected on the menu, in a starter of haggis, neeps and tatties. The breakfast was of high quality with plenty of choice for everyones needs including great coffee. The room was spacious if a little on the dark side due, probably to the eco bulbs in the lights. There was the odd scuff on the walls but this is a very minor gripe Check out was easy and efficient. Well done to all, looking forward to being able to return soon.

I have just come back from a relaxing spa break at this hotel. Our room was lovely and the service was excellent. We had a nice afternoon swimming and relaxing in the Jacuzzi. The treatments we had were very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. In the evening we had a very enjoyable meal followed by drinks by the open fire in the lounge. My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay.
