The Blacksmiths Arms is a hidden gem. A beautiful, well maintained pub with great food and a warm welcome. The pub is steeped in local history and there are lots of photos on the wall showing the history of the pub and surrpunding areas.
We went for Sunday lunch today and it was lovely - home cooked food with plenty to eat and good value for money too. The chicken melted in my mouth it was cooked to perfection. We've been to this pub lots of times now but thats the first time we went for Sunday lunch. We like to go to the Specials night on a Thursday - Curry and a Pint for about £7 each is excellent!
This is a really family friendly pub and we always feel relaxed with the kids. The gardens outside are immaculate and great fun for kids and adults in this great summer weather. Lots of outside tables, parasols, playframes, swings & sandpit. They also have ice creams and lollies on sale - perfect! Love this place :-)
