“pre football breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

on route to biggleswade town football club.
my son and i both had a late full english breakfast in the superbly located bar and grill, above the Liberal club on Biggleswade market square.
very nicely located just 5 mins walk from the train station this is one of the newest restaruants in town.
as i am just old enough to remeber the original georges hall, i have to say the renovation is stunning!
no complaints with any aspect of the meal or service. good quality food and beer in a very nice setting, it maybe not the cheapest in town but quality is worth paying for.
if i had to be negative at all, maybe the service might be a little slow for those on a tight scedule.
looking forward to going back and trying some of there steaks in the evening!

“Fantastic food! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

I visited George's Hall for Sunday Lunch and a mid-week lunch and both times the food was delicious!

The roast dinner was a generous portion with the meat, veg and potatoes cooked perfectly. The service was fantastic - the young lady serving us dealt with all our requests and was friendly and attentive.

On my mid week visit I had a chicken burger and my friend had the beef burger - I can highly recommend both of these - you can add toppings to your taste. The whole meal was once again delicious!

This is definitely the best place to eat in Biggleswade - good food at good prices!

“Sunday changes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

We arrived here and looked outside at the menu on a Sunday evening. The a la carte etc. looked fine and the menu stated quite clearly the days on which it was available. We were ushered quickly to a table and ordered some wine - very disappointed to be provided with only a 'Sunday Lunch menu' and told the manager had made changes and this was all that would be available on a Sunday. Had a look at what was on offer and decided it wasn't for us. We then noticed that another couple and another table were experiencing similar issues - expecting the 'normal' menu and had also decided 'not to bother'. After about 10 minutes (as we were finishing off our wine) the waitress advised us that the manager had spoken to the chef and he would cook us orders from the normal menu (but that since they had planned only for a Sunday Lunch menu some items might take longer). We then ordered our starters and main courses. Portions were large - perhaps we over-ordered also - but the food was good and tasty. It's quite strange to introduce a change but not make any alterations to the menus advertised at the door. However, I didn't believe a word of it - I rather suspect the Sunday Lunch was rather poorly attended and this was an attempt to get evening customers to accept the lunch. If the restaurant is going to change its practices then this should be advertised outside. However, food good just some poor decisions about what was going to be offered by the manager on the day?

“Succulent, affordable, tasty & good atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014 via mobile

Fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the portion size was just right. The sea bass was moist and the potato stack was flavoursome.
Staff aimed to please. The coctails were delicious the beers were ice cold. If we weren't so full we would have had dessert! Colouring books and crayons were given to my granddaughters which was a lovely gesture. Highly recommend for the whole family, there is something for everyone.
