We went their with our children and we were so pleasantly surprised. You can see the old traditional Cretan houses as they used to be in the past. Clean, welcoming and close to the beach. After we had to take a swim at the beautiful beach close by

Fascinating, much more than you expect. The first museum we have ever been to in Greece and well worth the visit.

“A must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013 via mobile

I came here after seeing its a top attraction in the area and I was so happy I did. The lady who did the English tour was so informative and detailed. I found it very interesting and my partner and I enjoyed learning about the Cretan culture.

“Enjoyable.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

Visited here just before going to nearby Star Beach water park. If you are interested in Greek history, agriculture and old methods of progression, then this is for you. You can sample the homemade wine, honey, and lots of other foodstuff before purchasing. We chose not to view the film, so entry fee was five Euros each, which was good value for money.
