I spent two nights at the Korifi Suite last week. I booked an executive sea view with breakfast through hotels.com in April and managed to get the bargain price of £45/night including breakfast.
I originally booked six nights here but due to family commitments I had to cut my stay short to two days, which hotels.com and the Korifi Suites changed with no penalty.
Upon arrival, Korifi is incredibly difficult to find. We had TomTom and Garmin but both did not match the road layout. We found Piskopiano and asked two locals how to get to Korifi. The location is not in the same place as any of the points I found on the internet on review sites or google. So for your benefit I captured the co-ordinates on my gps of Latitude 35.307N Longitude 25.38545E.
Our flight arrived two hours late so before we departed we called the hotel to inform them of our delay. The reception informed is to call the number written on the door when we arrive. We arrived at 12.30am and called the number and the woman came within one minute to hand us the keys and show us to the room. During our two day stay, we only saw the reception open once on the first day in the morning. All other times we walked past, it was closed. Upon checkout we had to call the number again and the woman came again in less than one minute. So the reception being closed did not pose a problem as they appear to live close by.
The room was a good size with one double bed and one single. The bathroom was quite small. There was a kettle, hob and fridge.
Breakfast was left in the room the night before and this consisted of six slices of bread, spreadable cheese and jam and honey, all of which were those small one portion size plastic containers. It was quite a poor selection and breakfast is the reason why I did not rate Korifi as 5 out of 5. So if you stay here then I would not recommend paying extra for breakfast as it is not worth the £5 charge.
Air conditioning is available at a charge of €6/night. We did not use this as there was a good enough breeze from the open window, although in August when it gets hotter you may find you will need this. There is also wifi available, at a charge per hour.
The area itself is very pleasant. Within a five minute walk, there is a huge choice of restaurants available. There are several villages in the area which run into each other and there were quite a lot of tourists.
Korifi have about 5 parking spaces available. You can also park in the village which is a 5 minute walk uphill to the hotel.
Overall it was a nice stay and everything as expected. I think if I had paid the list price of €75/night then I would have been a little disappointed but I think the rate I paid provided exceptional value for money.
