The location is helpful for family visitors as it is near the main area but a bit way from swargadwar, the main centre of activity. The temple is also not too far. A great view of the beach and the sea, although the balconies for most of the rooms are angular and so you can't get a full view. The lawn as well as the children's playing area is a big plus for family visitors.
Room service isn't too great, but the advance tip gets the work done. Restaurant is pretty mediore, don't expect any ambience. Also, for people not from east india, it might be a challenge; even though everything is on the menu, safer to stick with the basic eastern meals. The real pain is at the time of leaving - you have to tip the housestaff, restaurant staff, security staff, all separately. You don't have an option.
