We booked this through an Indian travel website, as we wanted to escape Mumbai for the weekend. What we found was a total disgrace. For India this hotel was NOT cheap and the same price as other nearby hotels that were far superior in quality.
First they showed us a room with no windows, then another room which was shabby beyond belief - and filthy. When we asked for a poolside room, they grudgingly showed us to a room that reeked of damp, had broken lights and stains everywhere. Unfortunately we had pre-paid, but we couldn't bear being in that room for a second longer.
We swallowed the cost, and checked into the far better Usha Ascot hotel, which was at least clean and friendly and cost the same.
The staff at Anandritz couldn't care less; the whole place was dusty and filthy, with wild dogs and rubbish everywhere. If it hadn't been so expensive for what it was, its motto would be utterly hilarious: Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
