Even though we only stayed one night, is was one night long enough to know this has to be the best place on the strip. The location is excellent. In walking distance of everything, and the best homemade breakfast in the morning. Thank you Lu for a fantastic stay. We'll be back!

It was great, in all ways. The cottages were so private, home-like and historical. Better than a posh hotel.

This is a wonderful little place to stay when in Northeast Ohio. The only downside is it doesn't have a veiw of the lake from the property, as the lake is across the street and is blocked by other building. But the house is beautiful, Lu and Jerry are great hosts and make you feel like family, each room has it's own bath. There is wireless internet, Beatles music playing in the foyer, and wonderful breakfasts. She will make you something different each day. We will be back!! We stayed in the LakeHouse down the street the next night (already had reservations..) and like this place better even though the LakeHouse has beautiful views of the lake.

The Eagle Cliff Inn is located right on the strip in Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio. It's proximity to the local park as well as all the businesses along the strip is convenient. There's ample free parking for guests.

The rooms were very comfortable and appear to be newly rennovated. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was different each of the three mornings we were there and it was consistently good.

The innkeepers are also the owners and they make your stay there exceptional. We happened to be there during Lu's (one of the innkeepers) birthday celebration with her family. They offered every guest to join in and enjoy fresh grilled fare. They emphasize that the inn is yours during your stay with complimentary beverages and snacks always available.

Several guests that we met were repeat customers.

We had a great time at the Eagle Cliff Inn. Our hosts, Lu and Jerry, treated us like we were close friends. We also had great interaction with the other guests sitting on the wrap-around front porch in the evening and enjoying Lu's great home-made breakfast in the morning in the dining room. We felt like we were part of a family get together, sharing life and traveling adventures. The rooms were decorated very nice with period furnishings and roomy bathrooms and are air-conditioned. Lots of wineries and covered bridges in the area added to some great views of Lake Erie and nice selection of restaurants made it all very enjoyable.

We went to Geneva-on-the-Lake in October for a fall weekend with the hopes of stopping by a few of the wineries that are so abundant in that area. This B&B is the perfect B&B. Lu bakes a wonderful gourmet breakfast every morning with sausage or bacon on the side, fresh juice, coffee, tea, homemade muffins, etc. She also baked fresh brownies she left out for an afternoon snack and leaves all the breakfast leftovers in the fridge so you can munch in the afternoon. The inn is charming, wonderfully decorated, and clean. The location is at one end of the strip in GOTL. A small private beach is across the street. But most of all, the hosts, Lu and Jerry, are genuinely friendly, and take the time to talk with you in the morning, and help you make all the arrangements you need to have a good time. The other guests while we were there were equally friendly and each day sat around the breakfast tables talking after eating. It was a great weekend. We paid $110, including Ohio's tourist gouge it came to $125 per night, for our room, including the full breakfast. That is a bargain considering the quality of the Inn and what their competitors are charging, right up the road.

  • Liked — Ambiance, ambiance, ambiance. Warm and cozy.
  • Disliked — We took the smallest room -- should have taken a bigger room.
  • Tips/Secrets — Ask about the winery (bus or limo) tours available.
