The Lodge at Geneva is a true diamond in the ruff! I frequent the lodge twice a year either with my spouse or with friends just as an overnight getaway. The wine shuttle to the wineries is exceptional and a great way to have a few drinks and not worry about driving. The views of Lake Erie and the comfy feeling of the lodge makes for a wonderful relaxing trip. The staff is top notch and is always willing to help or offer assistance. If you have never experienced the Lodge at Geneva you MUST!!

Room Tip: If you want a view of the lake make sure to ask. It will be an upgrade but definitely worth it!

This is a clean hotel on beautiful property. It has a fun, family atmosphere with two pools and hot tubs. Service at the restaurant was friendly and attentive. I will definitely return to the Lodge at Geneva with friends.

I booked a weekend for our 5th wedding anniversary at the Lodge, which included a special event that weekend of a murder mystery dinner.
We arrived to find that the reservation that had been made was not completely correct, we were in a room with double beds, not the king that was reserved, I'm also 6'5" so a double is a little tight. We questioned this and were told we could switch rooms but they had no king for Saturday night. Finally the front desk agreed to remove $40 from the charges and we stayed put, I had no plans to have to be switching rooms for a night.
The room was okay, nothing special. It had a outdoor patio entrance to the pool area. There is a quiet notice posted in the hallways from 11p until 7a, You can hear everything going on in the hallway.
We had dinner Friday night in the on site restaurant which we found the food to be very good, a reasonable selection of wine and fair service.
On Saturday we asked about the murder mystery information and were told we should have received that during check-in. The dinner theater is located off-site, just a couple of minutes drive. The show was excellent and the food was great. We would definitely do the dinner theater again. After the show we went back to the hotel and had a drink at the bar, the lodge was busy with a couple of parties, one was wedding, so our assumption was they bumped us down to a double bed to accommodate the other parties. Over hearing a couple at the bar telling the bartender they had just drove up and checked to see what was available and they said they had a great room with a king bed. Really? They said they expected the place to booked up.
That was when we decided that we would not come back to the Lodge at Geneva. We had okay service from the front desk on arrival, with our keys handed to us, no mention of room problem, no mention of murder mystery packet with ticket and included breakfast. We had good help on Saturday from a lady who helped us get what we needed for our dinner theater and the breakfast voucher for Sunday.
When we checked out on Sunday I actually checked out to make sure the $40 credit had been applied, I wasn't surprised to find it hadn't. I explained the lady, the same that helped us on Saturday what we were told about the credit and the experience we had. She apologized for the bad experience and gave us the credit.

The Lodge has a lot of potential but given the first impression we had, we wouldn't go again. I had read various reviews before we booked the place thinking it was simply people complaining to complain. Unfortunately we experienced some of the various problems, mostly with the reservations. This was supposed to be a nice getaway for an anniversary. We didn't let the situation ruin the weekend and were able to enjoy the view and wineries around the area.

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge because we received a gift certificate. Otherwise it would be way to expensive for us to consider. But our stay was very enjoyable, the staff in all areas are incredibly friendly and helpful! The room we stayed in was nothing special, but the grounds and surroundings are so beautiful you wouldn't be spending much time in your room anyway. There were two weddings happening during our stay and I can see why a couple would choose the Lodge for their venue. Overall a great experience.

My wife and I was married here last year. We decided to return every year on our anniversary. Great place to unwind and relax right by the lake. I will recommend this place to everyone especially if you are looking for a place to get married.

Rooms are comfortable and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and the views of Lake Erie are amazing. The outdoor pool is very nice, with some spray features for the younger ones. The lounge is comfortable and the server was very friendly. I had a couple of beers and ordered a burger for take out, which was excellent. There are trails that you can walk, and you can also rent bikes at the front desk for $5/hour or $25 for the whole day. It's a very nice get-away, especially for couples.
