“Talk with elephants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

I went there and stood in line for about 30 mi s to reach destination.when i reached i didnt see anything intresting.paying 100 for elephant ride is useless and 8 people sit at a time.
Before buying boat tickets please check...there are 2 lines for boat.
If you are adventurous person then please cross the river from stones(check on your right side).
You will surely love that

“Good one !”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Dubare elephant forest is an Eco friendly land which you have a composite of boating, river rafting, elephant safari. Th river rafting is so good and you can enjoy if you have a group of people together. Also you can enjoy by floating on water by using life jackets and it gives you an awesome exp.

To reach elephant camp/riding, you need to cross the river by boat. But safari on elephant is not recommended! The elephant needs to carry up to eight adults and it is so pathetic “The elephant rides should be banned! 'These animals should be freed from captivity.' tourists has to say NO to elephant safari.

The entry road to Dubare is too narrow one for last two km. It's very difficult for heavy vehicles to cross the last 2km...

It's a good place and a must seen place in Coorg

“very nice experience.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

I would suggest, one stays there for a night rather than a half day picnic. interaction with elephants is great, but so is the hospitality of camp staff. a drive into the forrest is also highly recommended.

“Visit to Dubare”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

Its a good place for people who love spend some time with elephants. Be there by 8.30 in the morning., you can spend sometime watching the elephants having their bath. You can feed them aswell. May be you can avoid the elephant ride there as they charge around 100/- per ride which is way too high when compared to 25/- thats been charged at Nisargadhama !! Also if you are a group of 4 or more you can enjoy rafting there in the cauvery river !! Its worth for spending 2-3 hrs at this place !!

“Waste of time”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012

There is nothing to see here except a bunch of chained elephants. For that also you have to pay 30 rs for a boat ride to the elephant camp. River rafting in still water is available which I don't find great. And the place is very much crowded to enjoy anything.
