We ate here as it's a short walk from the Homewood Suites. They don't take reservations but do offer "call ahead" which gets your name on the wait list before you arrive. We waited only a few minutes, enjoying the salted peanuts in the shell available in a huge barrel by the door. You can also check out the various steaks they offer, displayed in a case. It was helpful to see what each size looked like (6 oz, 8 oz, 12 oz and so on.) It's a lively, family-friendly place. We had a booth at the far end which was a little quieter. More peanuts are in a bucket at the table, and fresh butter-basted rolls with a sweet cinnamon butter were delivered as we sat down. I got a small NY sirloin and added a small portion of ribs (about 5) for 6.99, which were fall off the bone tender, smoky and tangy-sweet, with just enough sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and although seasoned, wasn't too salty. Baked sweet potato was huge; I passed on the brown sugar (Ohio seems to be a sweet-loving state) and didn't miss it. Hubby got grilled shrimp and pulled pork, both were juicy and he was happy. We both had Caesar salads as our 2nd side and they were very fresh and not smothered in dressing. Overall we were pleasantly surprised by the food quality, and the service was excellent.
