“Above average meal for a chain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

We ate here as it's a short walk from the Homewood Suites. They don't take reservations but do offer "call ahead" which gets your name on the wait list before you arrive. We waited only a few minutes, enjoying the salted peanuts in the shell available in a huge barrel by the door. You can also check out the various steaks they offer, displayed in a case. It was helpful to see what each size looked like (6 oz, 8 oz, 12 oz and so on.) It's a lively, family-friendly place. We had a booth at the far end which was a little quieter. More peanuts are in a bucket at the table, and fresh butter-basted rolls with a sweet cinnamon butter were delivered as we sat down. I got a small NY sirloin and added a small portion of ribs (about 5) for 6.99, which were fall off the bone tender, smoky and tangy-sweet, with just enough sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and although seasoned, wasn't too salty. Baked sweet potato was huge; I passed on the brown sugar (Ohio seems to be a sweet-loving state) and didn't miss it. Hubby got grilled shrimp and pulled pork, both were juicy and he was happy. We both had Caesar salads as our 2nd side and they were very fresh and not smothered in dressing. Overall we were pleasantly surprised by the food quality, and the service was excellent.

“Dinner two nights when visiting Air Force Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Ate dinner at the Texas Roadhouse two evenings during our visit to the Dayton, Ohio area to see the Air Force Museum on the Wright-Patterson Air Base.
Had great steaks both evening. The service was fine, the drinks reasonable.
The real reason for patronizing was for beef prepared well. Our steaks were delicious, tender and just the way we ordered them. We were pleased with our dinning experience.
The cost of the total meal(s) was reasonable.

“Just like any other Texas Road House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Typically good food and service. They have fantastic bread. We had a pretty fun time, though it is a little load to try and have a good conversation.

“CAN'T EAT HERE ENOUGH TIMES”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

BUT WE TRIED TO - 3 out of 5 nights in the area! Had never been to one before but will go now to any one that exists whereever we are traveling! Yeah - they are noisey and crowded, but if you are old folks (like us) go for dinner before 5:30, before the place fills up; and if you go later and are waiting in line, agree to sit at a small table for two and you will be seated fairly quickly too!
We are steak-lovers and every different "cut" we tried was cooked to perfection and tasty, as was all the side dishes. "Quantities" of meat, potaoes and veggies were more then adequate....

“Great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Friendly staff and great service. Great location near many hotels and the Nutter Center. The timeliness of beverages and food was great even on busy nights.
