I have been coming to this IHOP for years now, and the food and service have been consistently good. The restaurant itself is rather small, making waits inevitable when coming during busy hours (breakfast, obviously; Sunday brunch, etc.). On the other hand, coming during a slow period one has the option of choosing any table one likes while one waitress is able to take care of all the tables. My husband and I did that very thing (on a Wednesday afternoon), and our waitress Mary did an excellent job of serving both us and the three other filled tables. It made for a peaceful and quiet brunch, and it was entirely lovely.
It's not the snazziest place around, it has been there for some time and its age is starting to show, but it's clean and well-maintained, the lay-out of the restrooms is kind of odd (you have to go into behind the counter through the area where they make drinks - the floor is rather sticky and you might end up running into the wait staff in busier times as they rush around trying to complete orders).
All in all, it's a perfectly serviceable place located amongst many others, and worth the stop if one is fancying breakfast fare or if a member of one's party is (they serve a variety of other foods as well, from salads to burgers - my husband always gets the burger and I always get the crepes - something for everyone, if you will. This was a particular blessing when I was pregnant and craved pancakes at all hours of the day and night.) The staff is always friendly and obliging, and they give the rating the extra boost from "average" to "very good."
