“Overnight Stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Stopped overnight on a trip to Michigan. Nice clean rooms. beds were a little firm for us.
We stayed on the upper floor and found it quiet. Staff was pleasant and the lobby was very inviting. Breakfast was not fancy, but tasty. Egg pattys and sausage and of course the waffles for hot food. Shopping mall not far with good choice of resturants. We would stay here again.

I feel it is the best hotel in that area. The rooms are nice and big and the free breakfast was pretty good too. We would stay there again. Except there is nothing in walking distance such as getting a quick bite to eat or shop. If you have a car then you will be ok.

We stayed here on Thanksgiving after having a crazy experience the night before in North Olmstead at Studio Plus. Luckly when I called Country Inn and explained the situation, the staff was totally awesome and helped us get checked in right away even before the regular check in time. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very attentive and called us shortly after we got into our room to make sure everything was to our liking. The breakfast in the morning was surprisingly more than just the regular continental breakfast. Hot food (eggs, potatoes, bacon, ect) and the server was a very sweet lady. I can't stress how friendly the staff was! An all around good stay!

Room Tip: No tips...this is the BEST hotel in that small town!

We had lost electricity during the bad storms and were freezing at home. Called the hotel and made a reservation quickly, didn't have my credit card handy and they said they would hold our room for 1 hour. When we arrived the check-in was quick! The room was very clean. The bed was very comfy. Flat screen TV-great picture. Jacuzzi was the perfect size for 2(best part)! We had lots of towels. The breakfast in the morning was delicious- from waffles to eggs and sausage and cereal-very well stocked!! The person working in the breakfast area was very friendly, kept the foods stocked and even asked us if we found everything we wanted and how things were tasting.

Room Tip: We had room 113 which was Close to hotel exit. Very nice parking. Close to lots of restaurants and s...

The Country Inn and Suites has one of the nicest complete setups at a reasonable cost. Great clean room, wonderfully comfortable bed, widescreen tv and great breakfast. Many places to eat nearby and always the cookies at the front desk!

Room Tip: I was facing the front of the hotel and it was quiet, so I believe there probably isnt a bad side. S...

We were visiting Oberlin College for family weekend to see our son, who is a freshman. My husband and I were traveling with our daughters, who are 14, 12 and 9. I chose this hotel based on proximity to Oberlin, indoor pool and reviews on Tripadvisor. We stayed in a 1 Bedroom Suite and were not disappointed in the spacious room.
Pro's: The front desk staff is very helpful in every way; the breakfast room is spacious, the hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating, the menu changes each morning and there is plenty to choose from including eggs, waffles, oatmeal and fresh fruit; there is ample parking; easy route to get to Oberlin College, fresh cookies and coffee offered in the lobby all day long; the beds and pillows are very comfortable; the suite was very spacious and the "kitchen area" was great; great black out drapes even on a completely sunny morning.
Cons: The hot tub in the pool area was at best warm, the towels at the pool as well as in the rooms are more like hand towels - needed at least 2 or 3 to properly dry off - this made us run out of towels VERY quickly; we are smoking averse and were in a non-smoking room, but the rooms adjacent to us were "smoking rooms" and therefore we could smell it in our hallway and room, which was unsettling.
Given that most of the accommodations in this area are bare bones, we will certainly stay here again during our son's college stay. I do think had we complained about the smoke smell or the towels, the staff would have tried to help us out. If you are traveling to this area for business or to visit family, I would recommend this as a place to comfortably stay.

Room Tip: One bedroom suite for a party of 4

Just stayed here with my family. The hotel is conveniently located just off the highway. Thefront desk staff were friendly and helpful and the lobby and corridors were clean and odor-free. Our smoke-free room was clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was very little noise and we slept well. The breakfast bar had plenty of choices, including make-your-own waffles and the breakfast attendants were very attentive. The price was very reasonable - we'll definitely stay here again.
