This is the second time we stayed at this property; our first visit was very good as well. Rooms were reasonably clean and recently upgraded. The superior King (with microwave/refrigerator) was perfect for us. Bed was comfy... room was quiet despite its location. They were a little stingy on the "condiments" of the room (one shampoo packet; soap, towels, etc.) but this was quickly resolved with a trip to the front desk. Guest services staff was VERY pleasant (both trips) and tried to be accommodating. Wi-Fi didn't work right and they couldn't get it fixed - apparently an ongoing problem, but we didn't need it that bad (just was trying to find late night eats). The breakfast area could have used a little more attention as to restocking, selection and appearance, but it wasn't bad by any stretch. The pool was refreshing and the perfect temperature. A little more could be done to improve the area - but overall it is reasonably clean and in decent condition. Pricing was reasonable, location - although I'll agree it is an "odd" location - was perfect for us - between Cedar Point (about 30-45 minute drive) and our relatives we were also visiting in the area. This property doesn't have lots of frills and thrills, but it does have some nice extras and the price makes it a great value.

VERY friendly staff. Current/recent construction dug up the lawn and left big mud pits out front (there was a side yard for the pup, however). Beds were comfortable, room was roomy.
I'm not an engineer, but the toilet seemed to be too close to the wall, but that's my opinion, and I wouldn't not stay here just because of that. (isn't it amazing how we remember stupid, petty things, but forget the big picture?)
Two TV's in the room. TV in stereo, I suppose. I don't think it would be practical to watch two different programs at the same time, as they were almost right next to each other.
Hotel provided WiFi was pretty much unusable, both my wife and I could easily connect, but throughput was next to nothing.
in the 'can't blame the hotel' department, area road construction made access to the hotel from the interstate a little awkward (for me, at least). Plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. I'd stay here again

Stayed at this Red Roof in Elyria, Ohio before and have never been disappointed. Staff friendly, easy on & off the highway, clean. Second floor room and was happy that this RR has an elevator! Had a suite with 2 full beds and a sofa bed. No complaints from the person sleeping in sofa bed so I guess it was fine, full beds are typical RR and decent. 2 large flat screen TV's in the suite so that is nice! Room was big. First night we checked in late and only had the bath towels, no hand towels or bath mat but that was rectified the next day by staff. Will definitely stay here again.

You should be fine here. The staff is very friendly, and it is pet friendly which was a real plus. The area is safe...good for a night on the road and nothing more. There are plenty of places to eat near the hotel.

We arrived and were greeted in a very friendly manor. We stopped at the Ramada down the road because we had a coupon out of Hotelcoupons.com. At the Ramada we were not greeted well and I could tell that as soon as I brought up the idea of a coupon, I would be declined. Why do motels place these coupons then duck and hide?

Anyway, the Red Roof is a great place. We stayed in a Red Roof in La Crosse and that was a great stay as well.
