I had told myself never to return to this hotel again. My last visit to this hotel was made by someone else and I had to travel with the group so I didnt have a choice.
I have had bad experiences with this hotel since the early 90s when it was reasonably priced with so so services. It got gradually worse as time went on and finally last year, I had decided it is time to stop as some of my personal items were stolen, service at the breakfast room was terrible (it used to be a buffet but now is a la carte only unless there is a big convention/conference going on) and the room quality had gone downhill.
To my pleasant surprise, my trip in Nov (sorry didnt had time to post until now) was quite agreeable with regards to the quality and service of the hotel. They had improved furnishing (a framed wall to wall mirror, new shower curtains, etc) as well as better personnel (servers and cleaning crew who speaks some English). So if I have to go back to Eastlake again, I may consider staying here again and hope for more improvement. I had included two photos of the room. Unfortunately the batteries went dead after the 2nd shot. Was hoping to take photos of the bathroom and the improvement made to the vanity/wash basin area.
