“Loved it....even the kids did!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Seriously great "local" restaurant. Cool decor. Eclectic menus. Great beer selection. The kids' meals come out on school lunch trays and they get an entree, 2 sides and a dessert (s'more, cupcake or donut)...they loved it!! The deviled eggs with crispy prosciutto were amazing.

“Not so good......”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Went on a Wednesday after not wanting to deal with 3 hour weekend lines. Understaffed, and bartender did not want to make my wife the drink she wanted due to her being very busy. She went with lobster mac and cheese which had too much pepper and a rather "unfresh" taste. My burger was just ok and could be had any place else. We were so excited to try, but with all of the other places in this town, I can't see myself going back.

“Food was okay, but pricy. Beer selection was alright.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Went with a few friends to try this place out the other night. Nothing really wowed us, and we felt like most things on the menu were a bit overpriced. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great. There were some interesting elements such as pork croutons, but as a whole the food fell a little flat. We would consider giving this place another shot.

“Even the ordinary tap-water is exceptional at 101 Beer Kitchen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Aside from the very wide variety of awesome beers and ales here --and great food to go with each and every one of them-- the chilled and filtered water that comes in a brown jug is outstanding! The water is already chilled to near-freezing-ice-cold, and it is a pleasure just to have it with one's meal, and whatever beer or ale one may choose to have; so much so that this water alone, this delicious, has gotten me back there multiple times in one month. And, I can't wait to go there again. Others can rightly describe the food, and everything else, but this ought to become a trend: good "plain" delicious and refreshing filtered water to drink with one's food, each and every time! (And, this way, one may spend even more time here and eat even more delicious food over time, or in one visit -- as my friend and I have done several times since we discovered this gem of a place in this part of town).

“Interesting menu, awesome food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

You can't see it from the road. It's off to the side in the Kroger plaza, but it's worth the search. We started with an nacho-like version of tater tots, which were excellent. Everyone really liked their dinners - shrimp and grits, ribs, jerk chicken, tortilla-crusted chicken sandwich with home-made chips. Totally appreciated the unexpected twists on the standards. The jerk-chicken was very hot - just a warning. Service was very attentive. About three different people aside from our waiter stopped by to check in. I actually thought a little less attentive would have been better.
