“A wonderful and cozy, romantic getaway for two!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2010

My wife and I recently spent a weekend at the Whispering PInes B and B. It was just what the romantic doctor ordered for our 5th anniversary! A quiet and cozy getaway, the rooms were spacious and clean. The private balcony overlooked the lake and the whirlpool tub was a treat to the body. Bill and Linda, the owners, were more than accomodating to our needs and always there for pleasant conversation. The lake area was beautiful and it was not a touristy, busy trap. Despite going over Thanksgiving weekend (low 30's), it was still nice to use the outdoors nearby and hike. I could only imagine the variety of use the nearby lake and woods could afford one in the summer. The newly added sunroom was a great way to enjoy the creative and hearty breakfast upon waking up. It lacked tv and internet, which we found to be beneficial to enjoying things of a simpler time (and each other)! All in all, a pleasant and relaxing break from the daily hustle and bustle. WELL DONE!!

Of all of the B&B's, Inns and Hotels we have stayed in around the world, Whispering Pines ranks among the best. Bill & Linda were fantastic hosts making our 3 day stay in their home a memorable one. The home is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with gorgeous antiques. In addition to a lovely bed and private bathroom, each room has a fireplace, lounging area, hot tub, and balcony with a view and is tastefully decorated. The location in the rolling hills of SE Ohio is tranquil and romantic. The breakfasts were delicious and served in the new breakfast room overlooking Lake Atwood. In the outside grounds are a waterfall, babbling brook and fish pond. There are excellent restaurants and attractions in the area which Bill & Linda are happy to suggest. We will definitely be coming back and recommend this B&B to all our friends. Barbara & Bill Hession, Findlay, Ohio

Sometimes you just get lucky surfing the web and sometimes not. This time was a huge success. My wife and I have now found our favorite place to stay. The service was excellent, the room was excellent and the breakfast was to die for. The owners of the Whispering Pines Bed and Breakfast went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay a memorable one. I would highly recommend Whispering Pines to anyone that wants a quiet get away.

We were welcomed and greeted warmly. We had a wonderful time. The accomodations are excellent and breakfast was delicious.
The sound of the waterfall and view of the lake helped to make our time on the private balcony relaxing. Linda and Bill are caring and gracious hosts. We are grateful for everything they do for their guests.

We took a last minute getaway to this wonderful B&B. It couldn't have been any nicer. The house is full of lovely antiques and the room was lovely. We had a private patio with a view of the lake. It was in the 90's so having central air was a real plus. It was so quiet and relaxing. Linda prepared a wonderful breakfast which was served in a bright room looking out at the lake. We had dinner at a restaurant in Magnolia named Tully's. Would highly recommend it also.

I took my husband on a getaway for our 13th anniversary over the July 4th holiday. What an amazing place. Linda and Bill were wonderful hosts! Everything was clean, organized and very peaceful. I can't wait to get back there.

Stayed in March to help with wedding planning and fell in love with this incredible B&B. My husband and I will be returning in July for the wedding. The only thing wrong with my March stay was it was so romantic and he wasn't there! Imagine beautiful grounds and scenery, views from your room and balcony, fireplace, a warm tub, Bose music player, cosy robes, delicious smelling lotions, and fantastic beds. Downstairs - antiques, teas, coffee and cookies at all hours, puzzles and games, cozy spots to read or think, and to enjoy a fabulous multi-course breakfast that awaits in the morning. Then imagine Linda greeting you and taking care of everything you need and providing everything you just might need. Besides being totally romantic, everything is spotlessly clean and not even the tiniest detail is overlooked. Hello to a wonderfully nice "martha stewart" whose husband is incredibly talented as well. I can hardly wait to return in July to see the new space he has built, and to come back to this little piece of paradise.
