If you are going to Columbus and aren't familiar with the area, stock up on snacks and liquor before you check in or just stay farther north. The hotel is very nice, don't get me wrong. Nice decor, comfy beds, very clean and spacious, good views, good bar, nice shower, nice bathroom amenities. We were coming to town for a concert and parked in self park. We wanted to walk to restaurants so we went to the Elevator Brewery a few blocks away, on the way there, we noticed that almost everything in downtown shuts down at 3 or 5pm. It was annoying because even CVS which was very close shut down at 8pm on a Saturday of all days. We asked at the front desk about a liquor store within walking distance and the lady said, no, not within walking distance. The next morning when we left, we passed a liquor store just two blocks from the hotel which we could have gone to the night before and wouldn't have had to pay a fortune for drinks in the hotel bar. That was a little aggravating. I've worked in hotels and I was always sure to make local recommendations to folks when they checked in or even ask them if they needed recommendations or a map upon check in. I expected a good chain like Sheraton to go the extra mile and do this sort of check in, but they did not. I surmise that this hotel stays in business due to being in the heart of the business district and excels with business travelers, but for leisure travel, it's not the best spot. Service in the bar was great and it was nice that the bathrooms had mouthwash and even a small pouf thing with body wash. I slept like a baby and the hotel was nice and quiet.
Any room in the hotel will be nice and quiet because there is literally nothing going on in downtown...
