“We were hoping for more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

My husband and I had dinner prior to a show.
I was getting a little nervous when the waiter disappeared for over 15 minutes before taking our orders. The food arrived quickly, soup and entree at the same time.
The French onion soup was delicious, thick and cheesy, heavy on the salt.
The chicken crepes were heavy on the chevre, while the side salad was adequate.
My husband's steak sandwich was made with some greens which had turned soggy, and the roll was surprisingly tasteless.
We are glad to see a downtown restaurant open in the evening, but have had much more delicious crepes at Bon Vie, and better French bread at Panera. The prices here are reasonable, however.

Sunday Brunch -

Coffee was hot, plentiful and fresh.
Juice was fresh.

Started with Smoked Salmon Rillettes - Absolutely Delicious. The bread is toasted just enough to have a crunch, but not to become messy or hard to eat. I would guess that the Salmon is done in house - smooth, creamy smoked salmon, mayo, and dill.

Main Brunch Course: Crispy Duck Leg Confit. My husband used some profanity to profess his love for this dish. Each component of this dish was done perfectly.

Main Brunch Course: Short Rib Crepe: This is what I've been waiting for someone to do with a crepe! The crepe batter was delicious without taking anything away from the filling. The short rib was nicely spiced without being over salted. Covered in a Bechamel that was really smooth and creamy.

The interior is fresh and glitzy - without being gauche.
Service was perfectly attentive and informed. We were given personal thoughts with all of the dishes on the menu, as well as some that were not listed, but were available (such as the short rib crepe).

The market in the back is fun. We took home bread, cheese, and fig preserves for later on.
