“Scenic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

The walk along the river offers a scenic look at the river area and city. Nice fountains and seats line the walk which is in the heart of the city area. We enjoyed it and did not need to go out of our way to get there.

“Peaceful and Lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Many people were out enjoying the beautiful boardwalk by the river, with quiet jazz playing over lovely benches and elegant lights in the evening. During the summer afternoon, wild sprinklers cooled people down in Bicentennial Park. A real treat for hot and tired travelers!

“Revived part of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Seeing the riverfront revived and full of life is amazing. The waterpark and fountain in front of Milestone 229 is very pretty, especially at night. Sunset over the city is gorgeous in the evening. The installed fountains and swings along the river front and the walkway along the bank is beautiful. Definitely a place to stop by or take visitors in Columbus.

“The City did a great job with this cute water front park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

What a great place to take the kids and let them play in the water fountains. It squirts and sprays and at night is just beautiful with the colored lights. Great restaurant on site called Milestone 229 for food and drinks. There is a stage where local artists sometimes play music or movies are shown on a large inflatable screen. A great place to take a stroll with a date.

“Wow - bring your appetite and bathing suit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

This is new since I've moved to AL and I am so glad to have seen it while visiting Columbus last week. My son had a blast playing in the water features and jets while the adults of our group were able to see (and talk to) him from the outside seating at the bar/restaurant adjacent to it.

Although there is no pool of water, there were lifeguards on a Thursday afternoon. Luckily nothing occasioned the saving of any lives while were there, but an inconsiderate dog walker strolled through and let their dog pee on the edge of the play area. The lifeguard workers turned off the water and cleaned up the spot, no doubt a valuable service appreciated by all.

There is also a 3-D mural on the sidewalk that we enjoyed "playing with." The ladies room was spacious, clean.

What a great free attraction! Most of the parking meters nearby are in the shade, bonus!
