“Best city park in Columbus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Columbus has a lot of really amazing gems to offer- and Franklin Park and its Conservatory is one of the best. First of all, the grounds of the park are amazing and completely free for all to stroll through. There are several gorgeous community gardens, including a raised garden for those who are wheelchair bound. The conservatory gets better and better with its permanent and seasonal art installations. So, not only does it have a beautiful display of diverse plant life from around the world- it also houses some brilliant pieces of art. The constant changing art installations make it worth going back to again, and again, and again.

“Wonderful for nature lovers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

I've been here three times now. The conservatory building and all the biomes within are wonderful. There is desert; pacific islands; rain forest; and temperate. The botanicals are wonderful. This visit had live butterflies, released daily, in one of the biomes. It's so much fun to see the beautiful creatures flying around the beautiful environment. This time, as in one past visit, there was glasswork by artist Dale Chihuly integrated into the plantings. Outside it's quite nice too. It was August, towards the end of season, hot & dry, but I still saw all the grounds. A lot to learn and some great ideas for my own property. There is a cafe on premises - I didn't eat there, but it looked good. Normally, I would take I-71 southbound, exit at Broad St and make the easy drive there. Due to massive road construction in Columbus, I'd highly suggest directions from a local. I can't wait until my next visit.

“Heaven on earth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Beautiful stop on our way to Niagara Falls. Well worth the price ($12 adults, $6 kids; parking free). Be sure to check out the Butterfly Garden--you will feel like you've been transported to the rain forest, and right now you can also check out a nice collection of Chihuly sculptures that have been tastefully integrated into the gardens.

“Secret Garden”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Columbus Secret Garden and a nice place to spend an afternoon with yourself, family or friends. Botanicals in the conservatory are a good mix of old giants and new ones. Environmentalist happy place.
