We loved our stay in this beautiful home. Our room was private, quiet and comfortable. Everything was beautiful and clean. We had the run of most of the house and enjoyed the back deck as well as the stream running behind the property. The house itself was fascinating. A reproduction of a Connecticut River farmhouse, it showcased the building methods and materials of an earlier era. But unlike staying in a historic building, all the expected modern conveniences were provided, including reliable wi-fi internet access. The decor was charming, and our bedroom was spacious. And unlike a lot of B&B's, there was room for our stuff. We like to be able to unpack and settle in, so having lots of drawer, cabinet and closet space to put our things helped us feel at home.
Our hostess, Pat, made us feel warmly welcomed. She provided great recommendations and prepared our breakfasts to order each morning. We could not have had a more positive experience. We have family in town and would stay here again in a heartbeat.
