“Top notch customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

Comfortable, clean rooms and fresh décor, I've stayed a few times and found what makes the most impact here is the staff. They are not just responsive, but really friendly and engaging. Kudos to their management.

I came here for the USA Fencing National Championships. It was very convenient since it was
right across the street from the convention center. But there is no room service just complimentary breakfast from 6- 10. The shower was one of those giant walk-ins with rubber at the ends of the sliding door which was cool. The indoor pool was nice but very small and the fitness center was good. I recommend staying here for short trips.

Great location. Nice old building remodeled nicely. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable rooms with quality bedding. Walking distance to historic areas and convention center. Helpful with restaurant reservations and suggestions. Parking secure and texting for service is a nice touch.

This is a great location to stay at when you visit Columbus. The hotel is located downtown where you can walk to restaurants, coffee shops, shop for clothing. There was a festival going on and lots of people in town. It was great to see since rarely something like that happens in Detroit.

Room Tip: Air conditioner would stay on and was on the loud side.

Instead of driving 2 hours home, getting up at 6:00 am & driving 2 hours back to Columbus for meetings, I opted to stay, get some rest and a little work done. The Hampton Inn and Suites in Downtown Columbus is located in a wonderful part of Columbus. Sitting next to the North Market, Bar Louie and many restaurants. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, very helpful, and breakfast had a lot to choose from. If you're staying for multiple meeting in downtown Columbus, Ohio this is the place to stay..

Room Tip: Ask for what you want. I asked if my room would be close to the ice machine..across from my room was...

This hotel is not the most posh, but its supremely convenient location across from the convention center, next to the North Market and Short North district make this a big win. Very reasonable rates and (a huge bonus for us stuck here for more than a week for a convention) - free wifi, free tea and coffee 24-7, and free breakfast with a decent selection of options. The pool and hot tub are small but pretty nice and the gym looked decent. Employees were very friendly and helpful. They have a deal with A1 taxi for a flat $18 to or from the airport, which saves you about $5 on a regular cab. I would most definitely try to stay here again next time in Columbus, assuming the convention center was part of the program. I found the decor pretty meh, especially the bathrooms (plasticky) but it gets the job done.

I stayed here for the Origins Gaming Convention. The hotel is clean and the environment is nice. Everyone was really friendly. The room was always clean when we got back at night. The pillows were in varying amounts of fluff, but a little small. I wasn't a fan. The bathroom floor is some kind of rubber, not tile so you're less likely to kill yourself getting out of the shower.

The breakfast buffet is complimentary (read: included in the price) and has more than just continental breakfast. The juice machine was a little watery, at least for the OJ. The soda machines take credit cards and aren't highway robbery (only $1 for 12oz coke. It's probably the same price if you're a heathen who likes something else, I didn't check.)

The hotel is located just across the street from the convention center. For me it was directly across from where I spent most of my time. It isn't attached by a walkway, but the weather can never be bad enough for it to matter. It's also less than a block from the North Market where the food is better, cheaper, and closer than the convention center food court.

If you're driving, the parking there is valet only $21 or $23 a day (I can't remember) which is pricey, but it's meant for business people who can expense such things.
