“Nice Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

My husband and I were coming to watch our son play a basketball game against Ohio State. The person I spoke to when making the reservation was a perfect gentleman. He gave me some options. We were arriving early in the morning (7 am) and we were going to book two nights because we figured they wouldn't let us check in. The gentleman told us that the room was no at 50% capacity so they could accommodate us when we arrived. No issues at all. The room was perfect just like in the pictures. The decor was clean and up to date and spacious. The only downfall I have is that there weren't many cable channels but that is the norm in a hotel.

Room Tip: King rooms have a glass shower stall and double rooms have a tub and shower

Everything was perfect. The room was very clean and quiet. I appreciated the complimentary business center.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Spacious rooms, with sitting area, refrigerator, very comfortable bed, very nice lobby and attentive staff. Only complaint was our room was at the end (we requested a quiet room) and the staff didn't seem to realize that outside was a huge firepit for a Buckeye Grill and this was the night before a game. Very loud, so if you want quiet - ask for a room on the north side of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for the North end (low numbered rooms)

The hotel suited our needs just fine...the room was very spacious and clean. However the service and housekeeping crew was not top notch. Every morning we had knocks on our door by housekeeping, in about 30 minute intervals...they need to get their scheduling right. They never once replenished our amenities, and they supplied no lotion. Also, the people at the front desk are very kind, but not too sharp. We asked for the closest car rental place so we could get a ride in the courtesy shuttle (3 mile radius), a girl connected us to a rental place that she said was the closest. We rent a car, then go down to the lobby for our ride, and we are informed the place we were given is outside of the radius and they couldn't give us a ride. However, there is another place closer, and if we change our reservation, they could drive us. Something they clearly should have taken care of for us, as it was their mistake. We asked for some water to the room, and they said "sure you can come down and get it". If you want a nice room at a good rate, the place is great, just don't expect great service.

Staying by campus was great for the first few years. Now it’s time to be in the vicinity, but closer to the Arena District and the shopping. This hotel opened less than a year ago and is really sweet. Free continental breakfast, free internet use, complimentary business center or printer to print out boarding passes, and free parking. Minutes from the Arena district, Short North, German Village and beautiful victorian homes. you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This is not an economy hotel. But when you enter the lobby, you will say, "great deal." Nice decoration in lobby and guest room. Friendly staff. Location is great. Free breakfast does not have sausage & egg, but still good combination of items. Will definitely come back.

First of all, there aren't any fancy boutique hotels in Columbus. None. I have searched high and low and any hotel that claims to be a boutique hotel has crummy/old decor and has plenty of negative reviews. Upon extensive research, I (finally) stumbled upon this place which plenty of positive reviews and since it's a new(er) property, was able to assume that the decor would be above sub-par and rooms aren't infested with bedbugs.

The location isn't great but it's good enough. Fairly close to Grandview, OSU and Arena district- so depending on what you're in town for, it's pretty convenient. We arrived much earlier than check-in time and the person at the desk was able to accommodate our request for early-check-in (thank goodness since we flew a red eye with 2 layovers). We stayed for 2 nights on comfortable beds which a nice-sized flat screen TV to watch while I nursed my hangovers on 2 consecutive days. There's a shuttle that can take you places within a 3-mile radius to the hotel which was extremely convenient for going out- however keep in mind the service stops at 9pm (or 10, I forget). I just called to the desk in the morning to inform them that I needed a ride later in the day to a bar in grandview. The continental breakfast was ok- nothing fantastic. We ended up ordering off the hot breakfast menu both days since we needed something more hearty. The coffee with free breakfast was AWFUL, thank goodness they offer starbucks for a fee. The places was definitely clean so I was comfortable sleeping in the beds, with that in mind plus good staff, convenience to downtown, I would recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher end room, away from elevators. You might end up getting a good view of downtown (pl...
