I don't usually write reviews but feel I need to weigh in on this one. My stay started out good but shifted by the second day when the a/c broke. We were in town for a wedding so we were gone all day and didn't make the discovery until 12 midnight. I called the front desk and he said he didn't know much about a/c's but he would come look at it. He came and couldn't do anything and offered a fan. We accepted the offer since there were no rooms to move us to. He then called back and said there were no fans, they were all given out. (I guess we weren't the only room with problems.) (I need to mention it was 95 degrees that day) The maintenance man came the next morning but had to take it all apart and we had to get dressed for the wedding and needed him to wait until we left. So, we got dressed in the heat. They fixed the a/c but we realized they did not throw away leftover food and coffee I left in a pile for them to get. It wound up sitting there 24 hours. When I packed the next morning I realized my giftbag was missing. I went to the car to see if I put it there by accident and it wasn't there. My friends bag was still in the room but not mine. I went to the front desk and reported it. He assured me that I or someone had gotten it and just didn't remember and his housekeeping staff would not have taken it. I told him I had checked my car and that someone did. After my insistance he said he would check with the housekeeping manager. It turned out the housekeeper threw it away. (or so he said) It was weighted with gifts and there was another one just like it in the room but he thought it was trash- remember he didn't throw away the trash I left for him. I asked them what they were going to do about it. An apology was the first offer. They were waiting to see if I would take it. I pressed the issue and he offered me a free room night to be used in the next year. I told him I would not be going back to Ohio and that wouldnt help. He then refunded my first nights stay. I said that was nice but the bride paid for the room and I was still out my gift. They were nice enough during the discussions but in the end I didn't have the gift bag, my stay was hot and I was accused of taking my own gift. This was not a good experience for me.
