“Excellent View”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

We expected to wait for a long time based on reviews and for two people we waited for 45 minutes. Once we were seated our wait staff was attentive and kind. The view is beautiful and I expect the view in the fall is stunning. We waited for over thirty minutes for our food. The wait staff kept apologizing for how long our food was taking and once we got it it was fine. Not anything amazing, but fine. I would stick to the breakfast menu, that seems to be more their specialty than other food. Our wait staff felt so bad for how long our wait to receive our food that she gave us free pie.

If you do go and brave the long wait times, make sure you take the time to walk back behind the restaurant for the mill view from the covered bridge, it's beautiful!

“Breakfast Disaster”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

A group of 8 had to wait over an hour for table. Once ordered food took an hour to arrive. Pancakes were tough as leather, eggs were cold, sausage burned and service cold.

“Good if you like your pancakes to be the size of hubcaps”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Charming "Cracker Barrell-like" place that is open for service on Friday's and Saturday's during "blue-plate" special hours (4 - 8 PM). I was excited that they had buckwheat pancakes on the menu, blueberries, walnuts. VERY disappointed that they didn't even know what REAL maple syrup was! Waitress told me that they served what you get at the grocer. (If you like real maple syrup on your pancakes, bring your own) Pancakes were "ok"...I ate, maybe, a 1/4 of them. Everyone else at the table said their foods was "ok." Beer and wine. Cute and kitschy. Nice area to walk around and take photos next to the gristmill.

“Go for the mill. Avoid the food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

By the long waits on a weekend you would expect something special inside.
We were attracted by the farm atmosphere of the place. The full menu looked promising.
Well, that was a mistake.

The Buffalo burger was very thin and super dry. The chicken salad wasn't something to write home about but the one dish that we could not touch and left it as is was the chicken soup that was tasteless. Even Kroger׳s chicken noodle soup in a can beats that one.

Overall there is no good reason to stop there unless you are stuck in the area without food. But the nice authentic water mill outside is worth seeing.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The food is good but kind of expensive but you get a lot of food and sitting by the window the view is worth it all.
