“Not really Greek Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

The food was mainly middle eastern, not Greek. We lived near a huge Greek community in FL; excellent food. This was neither Greek nor good food.

“beechwood mall food court review”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

While shopping at the mall, was plesantly surprised to see this unfamiliar addition to a food court. Ordered the chicken souvlaki sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was tasty, but the fries were more than worth the stop here. They were fresh cut, and the seasonings they put on were just fantastic. Can't wait to go shopping again!!

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

We dined at the Mad Greek for our anniversary, using a "Groupon."
The first thing I noticed was that everyone there, especially the bartender, was very polite and welcoming. The bartender greeted us like we were regulars (which we're not) or family (also not).

We started with a small Greek salad, which was ample enough. It was fresh, with feta cheese, a modified Tzaziki dressing, and a calamata olive. Very tasty.

We tried the Mezze appetizer, which was a sampler consisting of a largish meatball (kefkedes), a stuffed grape leaf (Dolmades), Gyro meat with tomatoes and onions, as well as some fresh humus and Tzaziki, served with bite-sized pita bread. The meatball was ok - not like mom's (I'm greek), but the grape leaf was excellent. We could have stopped after this plate.

My wife ordered the Stir-fried Minos (chicken and shrimp) - very tasty and hot.

I chose the roasted Kasseri Chicken - two large chicken breasts, melted Kasseri cheese, with spinach and tomatoes in between, topped with some grilled asparagus and roasted red-skinned potatoes on the side. It was very tasty - but a bit too buttery. Overall great dish - and too big to eat after the salad and appetizer.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the bartender talked to us on our way out - again like we were family.

I know some have had some bad experiences with the Mad Greek, but I don't think I've ever had a bad meal or experience here.

Highly recommended.
