“Still the best in town, but comped casino crowd changes feel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013 via mobile

I've stayed here many times and have never had a bad trip. Unfortunately it appears the local casino has convinced management to provide lodging for some of its customers.

I go to Vegas often, so don't misunderstand, I have no problem with casinos and hotels working together. But having stayed here so many times prior, the clientele change was very noticeable during my stay. It unfortunately was not for the better.

Last complaint, they have eliminated the hot tub and I understand the indoor pool is next!...not cool!

The staff is still top notch. Really nice folks work at this hotel and no matter what they do or who they serve it will always be a very good hotel.

During this stay I was on the club level - great set up, very comfortable.

I love a great hotel but nothing compares to a Ritz Carlton club level stay and this location did not disappoint. Very friendly and attentive staff, fresh food and a relaxing atmosphere.
The room itself was spacious and clean and of usual standard. Bell staff was very helpful and professional and quick in getting our car out each time we asked.
As far as location goes this hotel is near many downtown restaurants and a casino. While there are much better neighborhoods in Cleveland for eating and shopping it was nice to have choices within walking distance. I would not suggest even bothering though, with the attached Tower City shopping mall. Nothing of note inside and even feels a bit sketchy.
Overall, if you find yourself in need of a Cleveland hotel this would be your best choice and you would thank yourself many times over for making it a club level stay.

Had a very nice stay at the RC Cleveland. The service was excellent and the rooms very comfortable. Everyone on the club level was very accommodating. Our one complaint is that they have closed the pool and the gym is nothing special so it has fewer amenities than most RC properties. Still, if you have business of fun planned in the area, then this would be a good choice.

Went for the weekend to celebrate my birthday along with our anniversary. Could not have ask for anything more. WOW! The entire staff made the stay from arrival to departure date a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back, we are thinking of making it a (at least) once a year stay.

I stayed at the Cleveland Ritz for work recently and greatly enjoyed the room and service. The nightly turn-down service made me feel so pampered and at home. The staff even changed the clocks in the room for daylight savings time. If I ever find myself in Cleveland again I will definitely look into a stay at this hotel.

Celebrated my husbands birthday in Feb with a visit to the rock hall, casino & dinner. Knowing the Ritz was within Tower City Center I was a little leery. I'm in downtown for business & I know what Tower City can be like day & night. Lots of teenagers & degenerate types hanging out because of the RTA train system which I also use on occasion. We had free valet, special offer for Horseshoe total rewards members. Had a 19th floor corner King room with a view of an office building, not bad considering it could have been an industrial roof top. Room was spacious & clean, very clean. Nicely furnished. Bathroom was huge for a standard room. Large open shower room, marble & tile. Top line toiletries. Bedding very plush, bed firm & wonderful pillows. Again, very clean. Room service menu was pricey but it's the Ritz, many many options & 24 hr in room dining. Gym was small but new equipment. Pool is now gone. Locker rooms clean & accommodating. Orange water was refreshing finish after our workout. Casino was a 3 min walk thru tower city and you just have to be cautious day or night. When you leave the casino you can request a guard to walk you to the Ritz doorway. The staff at the Ritz was awesome, they made our stay even more wonderful and we are going back again this month. We walked to the Renassance Hotel which is also connected to TC & had a great breakfast at San Souci. Rock Hall was so-so, glad we had free passes from a friend. Some great Happy hour specials around town. Bar in the Ritz is very small but quaint. Check out the bars/food options on E. 4th Street,10 min walk from hotel. Also came cross a baseball heritage museum inside the arcade on Euclid Ave.

My family has spent a night or two at the Ritz in Cleveland since my youngest son was two. We have always loved the service on the club level. The employees and food are top notch. We were very to sad that this past December when we arrived to find that the hot tub had been removed from the pool area. In addition we were told that the pool was soon to be removed to make room for a larger fitness area. With no physical outlet for my boys available we have to give up our family tradition and come up with another play to stay.

Room Tip: Great place for adults. With the pool gone, I would not recommend it for children.
