“Women Use Caution when staying here - everyone else should too!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I have never had a more consistently poor expereince then the one I had while staying in this hotel. The rooms are located in a tower that requires a walk through a half occupied mall making it feel very unsafe. There is an open stairwell leading down to the ground floor that is gated but easily jumped to gain access to the rooms above. There is no visable security making this hotel not a very safe choice - especially as it is located in the heart of the entertainment district creating the possiblity for a potentail for some to have a few too many. Besides that the service was impressively poor - from not ever making up my room to forgeting to call me for a wake call - this was topped off by sending me to the airport in a limo that cost twice as much as a cab without notifying me. If there was a grade below terrible I would be using it. The most interesting thing was when any of these were ponted out NOT ONCE did any staff member appologize.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was phenomenal. Hotel was located just minutes from water and tourist attractions. Multiple restaurants/bars/shops located directly across the street in lovely pedestrian walkway. Ambiance of building was outstanding

We stayed at The Hyatt Regency for a friends wedding which was taking place on premise. The accommodations were wonderful and the wedding was spectacular. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed the fact that many of Cleveland's attractions were close enough to walk to such as the Horseshoe casino.

I have stayed at Hyatts before and this definitely was a subpar one. I did not choose the hotel as it was part of a conference and would not stay here again. Most staff were nice but after waiting to check in we got to our room and the bathroom was dirty. Unacceptable. There were splatter marks all over the bathroom door mirror as well as the faucet. The back of the toilet tank, the Kleenex box and the toilet paper holder were LAYERED with dust. Not just missed this time but for months I would guess. I called housekeeping but had to leave for a meeting. All they cleaned was the mirror and faucet. Those were the main sanitary issues so I did not have them come back again. To me if someone calls about a dirty bathroom you would check everything and make sure it was spotless. But that is obviously not their thought process. Our room was small compared to our employee's double bed room too. Another drawback is the lobby- it is tiny with little seating. The arcade itself is pretty but they had 2 parties on the LL this weekend and we were not allowed on that level then Friday or Saturday. Sunday everything was closed on it.

This is a good location to restaurants and bars on 4th and 6th streets. And a few blocks from the casino.

I was looking into a stay at the Hyatt in San Diego but I am hesitant after this Hyatt stay.

Upon arriving I didn't realize it was even a hotel, since it is in an old mall. No typical large lobby have to take an elevator to get to it. The hallways are quite long and our room happen to be at the other end. We did have an updated room with nice amenities, a lot of space and comfy bed. The view or lack thereof windows on one side look out to the atrium of the hotel our other windows looked at a building a roof so both blinds remained closed. Seemed like a disconnect in their valet service took quite long and also called ahead for a taxi when we came down no taxi, ended up just using uber. Close to the Q which is the reason for our visit. Lots of restaurants in walking distance outside of the Euclid door. Not my ideal hotel because I like traditional ones but we had a nice stay overall.

We arrived at the hotel much around 11 am, much earlier than check-in. We were greeted by representative who checked us in and asked about the purpose of our stay. We were attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and visiting the museum. She indicated that she would put our room on the side of the hotel that would allow us for quicker access to the events. She looked up the location of the ceremony for us and marked it out on a map. Sometimes the extra efforts help. The room was very contemporary with high ceilings that helped to make the room feel bigger than the square space it actually offered. The room was clean, but we did have to request more towels.

We ate in the 1908 lounge as the restaurant is closed for dinner. The food was ok, but the service left much to be desired. The lounge is has a sports bar feel. While the staff was very friendly, they weren't in a big hurry. We had to wait for drinks and ask for our bill after the server had walked by our table 2-3 times. If you are looking for food, I would encourage you to venture outside the hotel.

The room was a bit pricey, but it put us 2 blocks from the event we were attending. I'm guessing the room charges are less during times where special celebration events are not happening. The lack of ability to self-park made me concerned; however, there was a parking garage right next door that was well lit and easy to access. Overnight parking was just $15 in that garage. Valet was available but we did not use it.

The inside of the hotel is beautiful with older architecture and the arcade feel.

Room Tip: Our room was right by the elevator which was a little noisy, but provided us easy access to stairs o...

I loved this hotel before ever booking a room - it's got amazing historic architecture that shouldn't be missed on a trip to Cleveland. Beyond the sheer beauty, however, it's smack dab in the middle of everything worth doing downtown. To top it off, the staff are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything it can be. I can't give enough rave reviews!
