“I know why this is hotel rated above the Cleveland Ritz Carlton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2011

The service at this hotel should be used as a standard by which all others are judged. No exaggeration: from the woman who took my reservation over the phone, to the front desk, conceirge, room service, etc.--everyone was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The lobby is beautiful. Everything was very clean. In fact this hotel has a look and feel of a much more expensive hotel.

I read several previous reviews about the noise level coming from the construction site. We were on the 15th floor for two nights overlooking the site and heard nothing. We could hear the TV coming from the room next door one night. I'm not sure if this was because they had it too loud or if the walls are thin. This was a problem for another reviewer too. Everything in the room looked brand new and it was very clean. The bathroom was immaculate. We ordered room service a couple of times and the food was good and promptly delivered. This was really a 5-star experience.

The city is manageable and the hotel is within walking distance to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, the Browns' stadium, the Cavs' arena and the Indians field.

Recommended things to do: Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, but be warned: young kids will not know alot of the inductees. I could have spent 2-3 days at this place, but my 13 and 10 year old boys had had enough after a few hours.

Fun/interesting for kids: The Christmas Story House. The actual house where parts of the movie "A Christmas Story" were filmed is about a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel. You can see and do everything in 30-90 mins. It was fun and would be entertaining for anyone who is a fan of the movie.

The Professional Football Hall of Fame is an hour drive away in Canton, OH. If you have a day, it is worth the trip for any football fan. The Hall itself is a little dated, but they are in the process of adding what looks to be a nice big expansion. You could spend anywhere from 2-4 hours here and have a great time.

Room Tip: The view of the lake is nice. You overlook the Browns' stadium and the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame...

I am a gold elite Marriott member and was placed in a smallish room overlooking a massive construction site (huge new convention center). Construction began at 8:00 AM on Sunday! Neither hotel nor front desk provided any warning about this. Be warned, and consider another hotel.

Stayed for 1 night "romance Package" celebrating our anniversary. Had a corner king room which was cozy, immaculately clean and tastefully appointed. Our room on 17th floor looked over the lake and the construction site of the medical mart complex. Hotel was beautiful throughout and every employee from the valet, front desk, bartender, and room service were extremely polite and approachable. We always try to stay at Marriott properties while traveling and this property as usual exceeded our expectations.

When I walked through the door my first reaction was "Wow!" Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful at finding a place to eat. Our room was updated and tastefully decorated. They are in a good location for visiting local attractions and some great restaurants. The down side of staying in hotels is that when your neighbor gets in the shower it sounds like they are in your room, when people walk the halls and talk you can hear the conversations, you can hear the televisions in neighboring rooms...but there is a medical building going up next door and the construction noise was pretty bad. The hotel tried to give us a good night's slumber the but noise kept me awake most of the night. That being said I would return if I'm in the area because it IS a very nice place.

Stayed for two nights. The room was well-appointed and spacious. The front-desk staff was courteous. I had a couple of meals as part of a conference. Breakfast was great. The banquet dinner was just so-so. I enjoyed the location being so close to the lake, which made for a great jogging location.

The Marriott Key Center has a great location for business in downtown Cleveland. The lobby is very well appointed and up to date. The lounge has a great ambiance. The pool area features a small indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna all adjacent to a well appointed workout room.

Guestrooms are recently updated, but I had a few mechanical problems that were all addressed in an appropriate time-frame. Bathroom amenities are a bit lacking, but are Bath and Body Works.

Service was nice and efficient.

Room Tip: There is construction going on right next door. If there is any way to have a room away from the co...

Wonderful hotel - if you want to get the best bang for your buck, purchased your package online from their website. We bought a one night stay, with parking, buffet breakfast and two tickets to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for $199 + for a Saturday night in early November. Best rate, value and package you'll find. You're within walking distance to the Football Stadium too! We are Rams fans and had a great time. Note.... .if you can space the time you need a good 3+ hours to get through the RRHF (we only had an hour and really didn't get to spend the time we would have liked since we had a football game to get too). Great city would have loved to stay longer to check more out. Have lots of fun! Note..... pillow top beds are very soft, if you like that go for it for me a bit to much but who's complaining that's what I asked for. Best bed I've sleept on away from home thus far. Yes, and very windy too! Cleveland is a major Football city, I felt like I needed to wear Organge that day - no matter what wear Organge and you'll be just like everyone else.

Room Tip: We had a water view, and it was very quiet but we also had a vew of the restaurants roof top, i don...
