“Best beers in the country!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Food is a cut above normal pub fare but the beer is the real reason to visit. I've tried craft brews all over the country and Great Lakes is still at the top of the list of favorites. They make so many different styles that are top-notch.

“Good beer , good patio, owned by two good brothers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Looking for a way to spend a lovely afternoon in Ohio City? Great Lakes Brewing Company is the place to go. The beer is great but for some reason the food is...well....not great. Pretzel Chicken and the Black and Blue burger are the two best choices from the kitchen .In the summer the Conway brothers operate the Pint Sized Farm at Hale Farm Historic Site in Bath, OH and use the produce in many offerings on the menu. The beer is great, consistent, and always the highest quality. The wait staff are all super people, especially Susan and Kevin. GLBC has been in operation since 1988 and what I really appreciate is Pat and Dan Conway's commitment to sustainability and the Cleveland area. Stop by and enjoy! Cheers!

“Good beer average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

Visiting family in the Cleveland area and stopped in for lunch after going to the Westside Market. The location is extremely close and a few seconds walk from the market. Good beer selection as would be expected as they brew on site. The food is average, the same thing that can be found at any brewpub. Worth a stop but don't expect to have your socks knocked off.

“Go for the Beer Variety Forget the Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

I am not a beer drinker. I went with friends who are beer drinkers.
I had a week Vodka and soda as they enjoyed their flights of beer.
I can see it is a popular place with $1.50 per beer about a 3 oz sample.
They have nice outdoor seating in a courtyard and out front.
The food was not as enjoyable. The pulled pork was stringy with little sauce.
The ashed potatoes were a solid scoop of white paste with not even a hint of the promised garlic.
The red cabbage was undercooked and dry, The bratwurst was average with a nice spicy mustard. Go for the beer, go elsewhere for good food.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

We make it a point to visit the brewery each time we go to Cleveland. They have some of the best beers I've ever had and the best black and blue burger!
