“Just like Grandma's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

This is the best Lebanese restaurant in Cleveland. The food is always freshly made and the service is always great. They only serve breakfast and lunch. Everything on the menu tastes and smells just like Sunday dinner at my Grandma's house. If you are adventurous try the kibbe neyah (raw lamb with cracked wheat).

“Top Middle Eastern Fare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Cross over the Lorain Avenue bridge, turn right at the West Side Market, and you'll find Nate's Deli and Restaurant on the right, at number 1923. You'll enjoy the best Middle Eastern fare in town--the Hummus is famous, but try some of their other specialties, such as the combination plates. Whatever you order, you'll see why people come from as far away as Australia to enjoy the food here. The 50's style banquettes and seating add a vintage note. When you leave, stop at the bookstore next door for a particularly well-chosen selection of recent best-sellers--all at half price.

“Very nice and welcoming!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

We took the Reuben sandwich and the potato salad for take away. Service was excellent and so was the food, we were just briefly inside and the resturant was fulled! Looked like atmosphere was nice!

“YUM.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

I think the previous reviewer has it wrong. This can't be *just* the best hummus in Cleveland, because it's actually the best hummus in the world. Chickpeas everywhere sigh a little in sadness if, upon being harvested, they find themselves headed to a destination other than Nate's Deli. Do yourself a favor and get the combination plate - hummus, baba ganouj, kibbeh, tabbouleh and a spinach or meat pie. Before you start, section off the part of the meal you're taking home with you (unless you're a linebacker and haven't eaten all day), and enjoy. You're welcome.

If only I could have brought this deli home with me...

“Order for pickup or sit and enjoy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

This place has the best hummus in the city.. Excellent middle eastern food, simple menu, even a decent offering for breakfast if you make it in before 11am.

Owners are nice people, hard working people straight from Lebanon. If you are looking for a great place to have lunch, this is a good choice if you are in the area. Bring your market groceries in, sit and have a great meal with your friends and family. Get a side of hummos, baba ganooj, tabolee and fatoosh. Then everyone dig into it with their soft chewy pita bread.. enjoy
