“Pierogis, stuffed cabbage, beer. Get in line...it's fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Laughing and talking as we all shuffled slowly towards the serving line. We were enjoying the festive atmosphere as we waited our turn to select Polish style stuffed cabbage, pierogis, noodles, cabbage, schnitzels, chicken paprikash and more.

We were not prepared to see how many people were already stuffed into this old neighborhood bar in Tremont on a Saturday. At 5:30 when we walked in the front door a busload of people were just leaving. We decided to grab a beer at the bar and wait for the line to subside. The line continued to grow when we joined in. By 6:00 people were still walking in and the line now wrapped around 3 sides and out the back door.

We sat at one of many large tables and enjoyed our selections of hot and tasty comfort food on a cold rainy November day in Cleveland. When we left at around 7:30 the line of people continued. Early or late on a Saturday…you’re gonna wait. Enjoy!

“Unique Cleveland Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Eastern European cuisine, cafeteria style, generous servings, lines move quickly. Great stuffed cabbage, soups, salads, and enough to bag up for another lunch or dinner. Better to go there on off-hours as this is a very popular spot. Food is quite reasonably priced. The restaurant is a bit dated, noisy, but in keeping with the theme of an old world restaurant. This is not the place for a quiet intimate meal. This is the place for a gang of your work mates or your extended family to meet for lunch.

“Big portions and home cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

One of our favorite restaurants in Cleveland. If you can go for lunch it is a little cheaper. Our favorite dish is the stuffed cabbage. It reminds me of my grandmother's and the portions are huge. The pierogis and Mac and cheese are good also. Go hungry!

“unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

unique to CLE ... very Cleveland, this is a buffet style, lots and lots of food, fun and different if you have people from out of town. most of the food is very very good, will sell out if you dont get there early enough and the menu can be different every day ,, watch the hours for lunch and dinner , much easier to find now that the roadwork is done

“Great food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

We were in Cleveland for the day and were looking for a quick lunch. I saw this restaurant on Yelp, which was close to the Christmas Story house that we wanted to see, so we decided to eat here. We were very pleased with their food and service. The food is already prepared, so you just pick what you want and they bring it to the table for you. Even though the food is already cooked and in a warming tray, I had their pork cutlet special, which they call street chicken and it was delicious (not dry at all). Their red cabbage and pierogis were the best I ever had at a restaurant and the portions are humongous for the price. U can't go wrong here and I would most definitely go back if ever in Cleveland.
