We were NOT in Cleveland to visit a sick relative. We actually went to Cleveland on a long weekend vacation. This hotel has an excellent, enthusiastic staff that is there to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. We were upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor; two rooms, two beds, two TVs, a nice seating area at a bar. Everything was clean, neat, and very roomy. Everything worked, drained, and functioned wonderfully. The business center's technology was up and running like a charm (no charge for printing something out!). We did not dine at the hotel, but the dining area was spacious, airy, and very clean. We shopped at the West End Farmers' Market (close by) and brought home tasty things for breakfast that could be stored in our refrigerator. Cleveland is laid out on a grid and easy to navigate. House of Blues was close by, as was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Science Museum (looked like fun, but didn't have time). The art museum and conservatory are especially wonderful. Staying at this hotel was easy. It was a good choice. The hotel has to deal with a very open parking lot in the rear, so there are people walking around that you may want to avoid--we never felt endangered--so you won't be panhandled.
