We arrived and got a lovely room. Desk personnel were very accomodating. We parked our vehicle for 10 days. No problelm. Shuttle was right there to take and pick us up. On the pick up even offered us water and pulled right up to the car. We paid 79.00 for park and stay. Very good price for 10 days! Room was very clean and quiet.

“A bit below the normal Hilton Garden Inn Standards”

I booked this hotel because of the brand name. Other Hilton Garden Inn's in which I've stayed have offered outstanding value.

This property is within the lower acceptable range for my overall requirements but is a bit below what I have experienced at other Hilton Garden Inn's. The hotel may be slightly older than others bearing the same name.

If you are driving there is a point at which you can become easily lost. While I took the shuttle from the airport I asked the driver at one point if we should make a turn to get to the hotel and he replied that if you took that turn (which he said many guests do) you will end up on the Interstate with no exit for several miles. The hotel could do a better job of signage.

The general look and feel are not quite up to standards for this brand name. I found the bed not quite up to the standards I associate with this brand from the Hilton family.

The issues others raise with the breakfast are true. The bacon and sausage are just horrible and the scrambled eggs seem to be made in a rubber factory. The oatmeal was good.

I did not encounter any issues with the staff. They were generally helpful.

Overall I would have to say the experience did not live up to my expectations for this brand and I would not stay in this property again.

Well, I chose this hotel online because it was close to airport and because of the name Hilton on it... Turns out I have to revise my criteria.

First, it was really hard to find. I used Tomtom5 Ohiio map, and the address was not there - I ended up somewhere 20 miles from it, in Cleveland. So I had to call and try to follow the vague directions from the night-shift guy. Luckily, the building is close to the highway, so I took the right exit. Well, you'd think when you have the building on your sights, nothing can go wrong? Hehe. After the exit, I ended up on a 3-ways crossing . I took the road which was going closer to the building. Well, it actually led me to another highway, and I could not turn around for 5 miles or so. Maybe I was supposed to guess that I actually had to take the way that was leading not to the hotel building, but up the hill into the woods? How hard was it to place a little sign there? Anyway, it was real fun at 2 a.m., after 4-hour drive I just had.

The room and hotel itself was fine and clean, except for one problem - the curtains on the window did not close - they were designed like that. I dont know what kind of sick idea was behind it - but I really prefer the curtains closed when I sleep or undress.
I did not want to argue with room service at 2 a.m., so I just lifted the curtains and stickied them with a pin.

The breakfast was not complimentary, and it was not something I enjoyed - the sausiges tasted awful (not so good meat?), and orange juice was not fresh. The pancakes and omelet was fine - but that was about all they had in the buffet. I was really expecting that breakfast because of Hilton brand - but it was worse than any complementary breakfasts I had on that trip in cheaper hotels.

The hotel itself is fine, except now I think I'd better stayed in downtown - a bit longer drive, but a better view from the window :)

“Garden Inn wonderful”

Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Airport

Stayed a the Hilton Garden Inn at the Cleveland airport for 1 night in July 2006 because we had an early am flight next day. We had a king room with a rollaway requested and it was in the room already when we checked in. No charge was added to our price. The room was really big. It had a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and a few cupboards. The room had free internet service and a business center on the first floor with a printer so we could print out our boarding passes. The first floor also has 1 washer & 2 dryers which we utiized. The hotel is close to the car rental return center although not within walking distance. We returned our car the night prior to our flight and could have called the hotel shuttle to come directly to car rental return as they were not busy, but we know for next time. We made a reservation for the hotel shuttle to go to the airport in the morning. It leaves on the half hour and hour. I think pick up is whenever your flight gets in and you can call them direct from a phone in baggage claim. The hotel has a small restaurant, but we did not utilize this. Front desk was more than happy to give change for the washer & dryers. This was a great location and staff was very friendly.

I booked one night at this hotel during a business trip to northern Ohio. Of all the hotels I stayed at during the week, this was the one I was most looking forward to. Hilton Garden Inns are usually nice, and I wanted to pamper myself a bit. Wrong!

The hotel was extremely over-priced for the value. In my opinion, you are paying solely for the proximity to the airport, which was not of importance to me as I had driven and my meeting site was about ten miles away.

Things started out poorly when I was given a room key that hadn't been activated. I had to lug my things back to the lobby. The girl behind the desk wasn't particularly friendly. The new key worked, but when I stepped into the room, I found it had two beds rather than the one king-sized one I had booked. I called down to the desk and was told their records showed that I had booked the room with two beds. No offer was made to change. I looked around the room and found it to be rather plain. One of the beds had a noticeable sag to it. The room itself wasn't nearly as niced as the Hampton Inn I had stayed in the night before. And the cost (over $170 for one night) was considerably higher. It just wasn't what I had hoped for.

I went to my car and got a copy of my printed room confirmation showing that I had indeed booked a king. Then I went to the front desk and (nicely) asked them to cancel my reservation. No attempt was made to make things right. My money was refunded, and off I went.

My recommendation would be to avoid this hotel unless you either A) Get a great deal; or B) Absolutely need to be right next to the airport.
