“Nice Upgrades but small bathroom vanity”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

First, I thought it was strange that the front desk clerk just asked for my name and credit card. Most hotels ask for ID. The bathroom was too small especially the vanity area. The hotel is convenient to Downtown Cleveland where we spent most of our time. The hubby was amazed that we could not hear any of the airport noise. We did enjoy a wonderful breakfast on site. The food was hearty and plentiful. It was a great way to start off the day as we headed to Chicago.

A one night stopover from weather delays and ended up staying in this hotel. Everything worked well, called the hotel and the shuttle arrived within a few minutes - they were surprised when lots of people tried to get on the shuttle and a second shuttle had to be summoned. The hotel was clean and tidy and had a great breakfast.

Arrived during a wind/rain storm of 43 degrees late 5/23 for 3 nights. Free shuttle...called the hotel and I was abruptly told to go to baggage claim door #2. Waited around 10 min for the driver. Prompt, courteous. Arrived at hotel, checked in...took my own luggage upstairs (4 suitcases). Accommodates adequate, clean, up-to-date. Ice machines on each floor. Walls are thin though...you can hear your next door neighbors. Bath clean...tub is high though when stepping up and down. Commode sort of low for someone who has a back issue. Liked the fact of microwave, small fridge in room. Convenient. Keep in mind this hotel is close to the airport but in more of an undeveloped area. People coming to visit me from other areas in Cleveland found it hard to find. Nothing close to walk to eat other than a tavern and a subway. No other restaurants close. So you're stuck with the in house restaurant which is not bad, not a knockout though either. At dinner first night I ordered chicken strips/ sweet potatoes fries. Food was not bad and the cook actually came out to each table to ask how the food was which was surprising. Sampled my friends burger and wedge fries...not bad either. The waitress was swamped though as nobody wanted to go outside in the cold rain and wind. When she did get to us, she was quick, nice and courteous. I resorted to ordering and having delivery which I went online to find several restaurants who deliver to the hotel in that area code. BF there are 2 areas...buffet where you can either or both order or select from already cooked food...I didn't understand though that you could reorder as much as you wanted bc most buffets are self serve...the hot food is not (eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, grits, pancakes, etc). There is another area for cold food which is self serve...toast, fruit, cereal, milk, juice. First day, service for slow for evening bc of the storm...there was only one waitress...next day service was much better as there was a smaller crowd. In terms of transportation, you can get a rental from the airport but it would be good if the hotel had a mini service of some type with a couple cars for rental as well. I'd give the trip a Good/ Average rating.

This is a great hotel, especially for the value -- Memorial Day weekend, and it was less then $80 a night! Even though it's near the airport, it is a very quiet hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable. There is an indoor pool, although we did not use it, and a fitness room with good equipment. I would stay there again.

We had a very comfortable stay. The room was well appointed (there was even a microwave oven) and clean. The beds had a comfort-adjuster so you can choose the firmness (or otherwise) you desire. The hotel had evidently been updated and re-decorated quite recently and the public spaces were attractive and comfortable as refreshments were always available. There is also a small store for the extras you may want.
However what really makes this hotel great is its staff. They were all pleasant and helpful, but I must mention Bob who went way beyond the call of duty when we tried to find a church on Sunday morning - he drove us in the shuttle bus to three different churches.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back facing the nature reserve.

We've stayed at quite a bit of hilton hotels over the years in several states. This one is one of the nicest. We've stayed here several times with great prices from hilton h honors web site. The hotel recently completed a full renovation. The lobby & rooms are clean, newly decorated, and very nice. The beds are king sized with adjustable preferences on each side (my husband likes his mattress more firm to support his back, I like it softer - it was great to be able to adjust each side). The bathrooms are very spacious and well stocked. Some rooms are larger than others (we notice because we travel with our infant son and his playpen). The higher floors are hotter (you cannot adjust the room temp below 68 degrees, but when you're on the top 7th floor, the temp never got cooler than 72 degrees). We really like this hotel and will certainly stay again.
