While I had heard of the Tap House, as someone born and raised on the eastside I finally realized there are some cool casual places that serve great food on the other side of the river. Saturday afternoon my wife and I were looking for a good burger so we looked online and almost everything pointed us to this rustic, 100 yr old plus bar/restaurant.
As lovers of BSpot, The Flipside and The Rail we wanted to try something new. All I can say is this place did not disappoint! Order the green chile burger which as another reviewer mentioned, is the best green chile burger anywhere around rivaling the famous Bobcat Bite in New Mexico ( if you go to New Mexico don't miss it!) Not only was it oozing with flavor, the burger was perfectly cooked surrounded by a tasty bun and much larger than the other places mentioned above but without a drop in quality. Great fresh cut fries too! Sit outside if you can although the atmosphere inside is pretty cool too! Service was as good as a 4 star restaurant, somewhat of a surprise when going out for a burger. Run there as fast as you can but get there early otherwise expect to wait a while...which would be worth it for sure!
