“Yes, Cleveland can be FUN”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2012

Our room was clean and comfortable on arrival. The maid service was a bit lackluster. Failed to empty garbage one day and the hall ways were always cluttered with room service trays and guest debris. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Garage was convienent but I felt over priced. The quick complementary shuttle service did help offset that expense. The big fall down was the on site resturant bar. Slow service high price and poor quality food. Do bring snacks for the room and plan ,eals elsewhere. Pool and spa were very good. Lots of access to large super fluffy towels. The location especially in combination with the shuttleservices would be hard to beat. Would like to return when the weather is much warmer. Don't miss the theater district. And the museums are first quality.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. While I am very sorry there were areas that did not meet your expectation, I am happy you enjoyed many of the hotel amenities like the shuttle, pool and fluffy towels. Your comments are a big help to us in improving what we provide. I look forward to having you as a guest when you return to Cleveland.

Enjoyed the hotel, rooms clean and pleasant. The shuttle is a great way to get around the town without driving. The only complaint that I had was that the walls were a little too thin for my liking. I could here my colleague's sleep music all night.

A week-end get away to hell. We purchased the "Rock & Roll" package from the Double Tree Hotel on Lakeside so that we could get the tickets for the Hall of Fame which incl. breakfast and free parking. On arrival at 8pm on Jan 28th, 2012 we were greeted by a surly looking front desk women who appeared to be inconvenienced by us. Once checking in we went up to our room. The first thing we noticed was the empty bag of chips on the floor which indicated the room was not very well cleaned. Before going to bed I went to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and searched the whole room to find we did not have one.The next morning we awoke to the sound of someone repeatedly trying to open our door and banging on the deadbolt. I had to get up and ask the person to come back later. After being woke up went to breakfast downstairs at the restaurant. This was by far one of the worst breakfast thrown together that I have seen in a long time. The eggs were not even real eggs but egg-beaters with some cheese thrown on and green peppers. The potatoes were cooked beyond recognition and the bacon/sausage looked to be from the day before. After returning to our room we found the maid had broken my partner's makeup bottle (problably trying it). While waiting for the elevators which were extremely slow, we noticed most of the staff were walking around blasting gangster rap from their phone or other device. This was by far the worst Double Tree that we have ever stayed at! From the kitchen, front desk and house keeping this hotel needs to restaff and start over!

Room Tip: Ask for a clean room or failing that pick another hotel

Thank you and we look forward to being your choice of hotels when the weather warms. The outdoor restaurants are nice and we are conveniently located. However, if you do not wish to walk, please look to take advantage of our complimentary shuttle service within the downtown.

Staff was friendly, room was very nice, breakfast was fantastic. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. It was very cold and snowing outside but we were still able to walk to a very nice strip of restaurants. It appeared they all had outdoor seating. We will definitively come back in warmer weather. We also got a huge deal on our room. I think we only paid half price! We had a great weekend

I pricelined three rooms for this past weekend and I can’t really complain considering we only paid $70 a night. The room I ended up was much nicer than the other two room were booked. My room was a bigger room with King Size bed & sleeper sofa along with a nice big desk. The other two rooms were tiny and had a double bed with a desk. You could barely move around in the smaller rooms. Pluses were comfy beds, free Wi-Fi & location. The cons were small bathroom, expensive restaurant with mediocre food and parking you have to pay for. The front desk was so/so. The girl who checked us in was borderline rude and not friendly. There was a different girl in the evening that was very helpful and called for the shuttle and cab service. If you plan on utilizing the shuttle know that you will have to wait. Plan accordingly if you have somewhere you need to be or you would liked to be picked up from somewhere. Overall an okay hotel, but I have stayed at better hotels in Cleveland.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We look at each survey that is given to us and distribute throughout the hotel for discussion and opportunities. While I am glad you enjoyed your room, we do take serious the not so stellar service you received. I can assure you, it matters. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you should you come to Cleveland in the future.

First time staying in Downtown Cleveland. Stayed only one night but hotel seemed in great location for Browns Stadium and The Rock and Rock Hall of Fame and Museum. Very smooth check in. Front Desk explained all amenities by the hotel. Complimentary shuttle within a certain distance. Had dinner and breakfast in Stadium 3 Bar & Grill. Everything was great. Definitely would stay again.
